Story
🍊 Meet Clementine 🍊 4-year-old | Female | 12 lb Chihuahua Clementine is a tiny, devoted soul who lives for cuddles, kisses, and being close to her person. If you know Chihuahuas, then you know—this girl is the definition of a one-person companion. She is an exceptional lap dog and thrives on affection and bonding. Because Clementine forms a very strong attachment, she can be protective and territorial of her chosen person. She may snap or bite when she feels her person is being threatened or her boundaries are crossed. For this reason, adult adopters only while we continue to evaluate her needs. That said, Clementine is truly special. She is incredibly loving, endlessly cuddly, and wins over everyone who meets her. In the right home—quiet, stable, and with someone who understands the Chihuahua breed—she will be an amazing, loyal companion. I absolutely adore her, and so does everyone who gets to know her. 💛 Questions? Email: info@lifelinetx.org Local Adoptions Are Welcome! Texas faces one of the most severe pet overpopulation crises in the country. Thousands of healthy, adoptable animals enter overcrowded municipal shelters every year with limited resources and few outcomes. Lifeline of Galveston County is a nonprofit, foster-based rescue founded to change that reality. We focus on: Saving at-risk cats and dogs from overcrowded shelters Supporting neonatal kittens and medical cases Providing community resources that keep pets out of shelters Advocating for humane, lifesaving solutions across our region The pet you’re viewing is incredibly lucky to be safe in our program, and even luckier that you found them. Setting You & Your New Companion Up for Success We are committed to long-term success for both adopters and animals. When you adopt from Lifeline, you also receive: Ongoing support from our team Access to our adopter community and resources Guidance on decompression, slow introductions, and adjustment Rescue pets often need time, sometimes weeks or months, to fully settle in and show their true personalities. We look for adopters who understand that patience, structure, and love make all the difference. Our Impact Since opening our adoption center, Lifeline of Galveston County has helped over 1,800 pets find loving homes, and we’re just getting started. When you adopt from Lifeline, you don’t just save one life, you make room for the next animal who desperately needs help. Together, we create second chances. 📲 Follow Our Journey Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lifelinegalvestoncounty Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lifelinegalvestoncounty Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@lifelinegalvestoncounty Disclaimer: Breed type is determined based on appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA testing was performed prior to intake.
