Hi! My name is Melissa! I am a 1 year old Rat Terrier mix. I am microchipped, heartworm tested, spayed, and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Affectionate, Curious Things my foster says about me: "Melissa is a really sweet and affectionate dog. She is happiest when she is right next to you or on you! She loves going for walks and investigating everything in the backyard. She is very friendly and accepting of the other dogs in the household, they like to play and snuggle together. She can be shy when meeting new people or big dogs, but given time she will warm up. Despite Melissa's size she is fairly athletic, so she is great at climbing onto chairs if they aren't pushed in." Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 5 or 6/10 Housetraining Status: I have been doing really well with my housetraining while in foster! I should do well in a home: I love the other dogs in my foster home, so I should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. I have never met a cat before so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. I would do great in homes with children of all ages. My favorite activities are: I like playing with tennis balls and squeaky toys. I also love being with my humans and will never say no to love and pets!
