Story
Hi everyone! My name is JASPER, and I`m a very lucky boy because I`m finally learning what it means to be loved.
For the first years of my life, I was used as a breeding dog. I spent a lot of that time in a wire cage and came to Coastal Poodle Rescue with 11 broken teeth. I was in a tremendous amount of pain, but, thankfully, the good folks at Coastal Poodle Rescue got me the dental care I needed and I feel SO much better now. I`m discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer.
One of my very favorite things is water! I am a total water dog. I love going on the boat, hanging out at the beach and playing in the water. I also absolutely LOVE playing with my foster dog brothers. Having canine friends around has helped me come out of my shell and learn how much fun being a dog can be.
I'm also a bit of a shadow. I love following my people around the house and being wherever they are. And when it is time to relax, I'm always ready for some serious cuddle time.
After everything I've been through, I've come a very long way, and I am learning that people can be kind, gentle and trustworthy. My foster family wants me to have a home with a fully fenced yard. They heard that I tried to escape in the past, although I have never tried to escape from their home. A totally secure yard would give me a safe place to explore and enjoy all my new favorite things.
I have already made such incredible progress, and I am ready for the next chapter of my life. What I really want is a forever home that will love me, keep me safe, and show me that I am finally worth loving.
