Story
Elvis Birthday 10/30/23 Sidney NE area Yorkie/ Shih Tzu/ Mystery Fusion Birthday 03/23/2022 Dog friendly Cat friendliness unknown, his current foster doesn't have cats but he is incredibly easy going and seems to have no prey drive so we believe that he would be fine.  He is an incredibly easy and friendly dog. While he hasn't been around young kids we believe that he will be perfectly fine with kids as long as the children have DOG MANNERS.  Elvis' new family MUST have another playful dog in the house or he needs to be adopted with his brother.House trained as long as he is let out often.  We would love him to go with his brother Gable as they adore each other, they are each others favorite playmates, BUT they DO NOT need to go together they are NOT bonded.  He will crate with no issues. He needs work on house manners as far as commands but he's shockingly a quick learner and super eager to please.  Hasn't spent a lot of time on a leash but this is something we are working on Loves to cuddle, but is also independent. He likes to sleep in his kennel with the door open, has no idea of personal space once he knows it's ok to cuddle.   Due to his dashing underbite he needs a his bottom teeth brushed and a specific dental supplement. Playing, wrestling and running are his favorite pastimes. LOVES a good nap Gets extremely nervous and car sick on car rides. This makes him more anxious upon arriving to his destination. MUST HAVE A FENCED IN YARD. He is a mischievous little muppet will FOLLOW another dog on any adventures they decide to partake in.  Loves a routine Absolutely LOVES to sunbathe NO DOG DOOR. He has no clue when it's too hot and will just lay outside putting himself at risk.  Fully vetted  16lbs approx  Are you looking for your own handsome, friendly and very charismatic lil dude to join your family? Did you ever watch The Muppets and think "gosh one day I hope I get my own mischievous little muppet?" Do you love a magnificent underbite? Are you willing to tend to his fabulous Jason Momoa style locks? If so, boy do we have the boy for you!  Elvis is a very easy dog by all accounts. He is incredibly friendly and hasn't has any issues for anyone he's met, besides being scared out of his mind at the vet. He can fool you thinking thinking he's calm and perfect but trust us, he has an impish side!   Elvis is extremely playful. He loves his chew bones and will play with some stuffed toys every now and then. We haven't seen him gut any of the stuffy toys and believe he is safe with them. He eats in a kennel and absolutely LOVES food. He isn't aggressive with his food at all but he will absolutely try and sneak a nibble of someone else's, he's a little scamp! He does great in a crate and even loves to nap in it. He has been left free roaming when the foster has left for short periods of time and he hasn't destroyed anything but every now and then he will have an accident. Elvis HATES car rides and will get very nervous in new situations. He won't bite he just is scared. This is something that he MAY overcome but he hasn't so far. In these situations he looks for reassurance from his owner and does better with his brother. We would hope he would find the same comfort he has found with his brother with another dog in his new home.   Elvis absolutely loves the outdoors, cool or cold or warm or hot. He prefers the warm or hot weather to the cold. He however cannot tell when he's been outside too long. He would literally sunbathe forever if you let him which is obviously dangerous. Due to this inability, (which most dogs have), he is not a candidate for a dog door. He always will accompany another dog going outside. When he gets outside he gets a case of selective hearing. He will stay out until he's sure every dog is back inside or until he feels he's ready. He needs close monitoring outside and a fenced in yard.   For reasons we don't understand Elvis hasn't had much interest that fit his needs. We don't believe that his needs are excessive or rare but for whatever reason he's been hard to find a perfect fit for. While he hasn't been around young kids we believe that he will be perfectly fine with kids as long as the children have DOG MANNERS.  Gable's new family MUST have another playful dog in the house or he needs to be adopted with his brother. This isn't up for discussion.House trained as long as he is let out often. He will likely have some regression when he moves homes as he is very habit and routine based.   We would love him to go with his brother Elvis as they adore each other. They are each others favorite playmates, BUT they DO NOT need to go together they are NOT bonded.  He will crate with no issues. He needs work on house manners as far as commands but he's shockingly a quick learner, super eager to please and very food motivated. Hasn't spent a lot of time on a leash but this is something we are working on. Loves to cuddle, but is also independent. He prefers to sleep with someone as close to their face as possibl. Gable has no concept of personal space.   Playing, wrestling and running are his favorite pastimes. LOVES a good nap on the couch Gets extremely nervous and car sick on car rides. This makes him more anxious upon arriving to his destination. MUST HAVE A FENCED IN YARD. While this dashing little muppet has never left the front area of his current fosters home we are requiring a fence because he is so friendly and naive we are worried for his safety. Loves a routine NO DOG DOOR. His current foster stays at home and so we would be concerned with his owner gone that he would go back inside.  Fully vetted  14lbs approx  To know Gable is to love him. He was named after Clark Gable due to his charismatic  personality and incredibly dapper good looks. Gable is an old soul. He has these big eyes but you cannot help but fall into. He has the sweetest personality. He is full of energy but not hyper. He is independent but still loves to cuddle. He has the perfect amount of mischievousness and considerate, good natured behavior. He is just a completely precious lil man.  Gable is incredibly friendly and hasn't has any issues for anyone he's met, besides being scared out of his mind at the vet. Gable is very playful. He loves his chew bones and we have seen him play with a stuffy a few times but mostly he likes to wrestle and play chase with other dogs. Gable loves to eat sticks, chew on remotes, any wood or hard plastic object. When you say "no" or "drop it" he does so immediately. He eats in a kennel and absolutely LOVES food. He isn't aggressive with his food at all however he will try to sneak in and grab some of someone else's. He has been corrected by multiple doge of various sizes and just takes as a challenge to get faster and sneakier in his attempts. Due to his commitment to this intense thievery he eats in a kennel.  He does ok in a crate, it isn't his favorite place but he deals with it. When put in his crate if you don't feed him fast enough he will let you know. In fact he has lots of opinions in general and if he feels strongly about them he will let you know. I don't know that he is more vocal than Elvis, both will strongly express themselves when they feel it's warranted. He has been left free roaming when the foster has left for short periods of time and he hasn't destroyed anything but every now and then he will have an accident. Gable HATES car rides and will get very nervous in new situations. He won't bite he just is scared. This is something that he MAY overcome but he hasn't so far. In these situations he looks for reassurance from his owner and does better with his brother. We would hope he would find the same comfort he has found with his brother with another dog in his new home.   Gable is happy to be outside as long as his owner and other dogs are also outside. He has very little interest to relax outside without a person and another playful dog to interact with. Gable has fantastic recall and doesn't stray from the immediate yard no matter what or will be following the owner. This being said and understood we are still requiring a fence for him just to be extra safe.   Gable has been pre approved a couple of times but the family has changed their minds or they aren't able to follow through with the adoption for whatever reason. We don't believe that his needs are excessive or rare but for whatever reason he's been hard to find his committed perfect fit.
