Story
Meet Butch: 8 Pounds of Attitude and OpinionsButch is a 10½-year-old Yorkie who did not ask for your feedback. This tiny gentleman (just over 8 lbs of pure authority) was found running the streets like a retired mob boss between assignments. Sadly, no one came looking for him — which honestly feels suspicious because this much personality does not go unnoticed.Let’s get one thing straight:Butch is a grumpy old man. Not “a little cranky.” Not “quirky.”Grumpy. And proud of it.He growls to communicate. Not mean growls. Conversational growls. They range from:“Excuse me.”to“Absolutely not.”to“Who approved this decision?”It’s less aggression and more… colorful commentary. He is housebroken (because he’s civilized). He loves his crate (because it’s his fortress of solitude). He does not need the crate — but if you mess with it, be prepared for a strongly worded growl memo.Since coming into rescue, Butch has had his left eye removed, 14 teeth pulled, and was neutered. He woke up from surgery like,“Is that all you’ve got?”He’s now fully vetted and feeling much better — though still emotionally committed to being dramatic.Important facts:He will snap if you ignore his very clear grumbly warnings. He believes in personal space. He does not tolerate nonsense. He absolutely loves bedtime and will be your tiny, warm, judgmental spoon.Walks? Yes.Car rides? Obviously. He prefers to supervise traffic. He’s fine with other dogs and cats, but he’d also thrive as your one-and-only tiny supervisor. An adult home (or older respectful teens) would be best. Think “roommate with boundaries,” not “toddler tea party guest.”But here’s the secret:Underneath the grumbles is a fiercely loyal little sidekick who just wants to be near his person. He doesn’t need constant handling or baby talk. He just wants to sit beside you, watch TV, and quietly judge the world together.Butch is not for everyone. He is for someone who laughs at a dog that sounds like he’s muttering about taxes.Someone who appreciates a dog that says, “Love me — but respectfully.”If you’ve ever said, “I don’t want a perfect dog. I want a dog with personality,”Congratulations. You’ve met your soulmate. ##2660894##

Story
I got Charlie when he was a puppy. He’s very playful and spunky and a loyal dog. He used to like other dogs until he reached social maturity at age 2 and does not like them. He will try to go after any size dog. So he will need to go to a home with no other animals. He can be an anxious yorkie and resource guards me to the point where he is getting more and more over protective and will growl and at times snap at people he doesn’t know if they got too close. It pains me to rehome him, but he’s already bit my boyfriend’s son. It was only a bruise but then he tried to go after him again at another time. It was hard to tell what would trigger his actions because at other times he was fine. He would do best in a single person home and if someone is willing to train him with his behavior issues. He’s such a loving dog, he will just do better with someone who can spend more time with him and give him more one on one attention than him having to feel he needs to share someone.
