Story
Meet Stevie! ✨This precious 1 year old girl may be blind, but that doesn’t stop her from living life with confidence and heart. 🐶💛 Once abandoned in her community, Stevie is now safe, loved, and learning every day that the world can be a kind and cozy place.Stevie is incredibly adaptable and picks up on new routines so quickly. She already knows how to find her water bowl, the back door for potty breaks, and even how to navigate stairs like a pro! 🙌 While she’s not a huge fan of the kennel, she settles with time and continues to make great progress with potty training.🩵 Her vibe:Sweet, affectionate, and a total lap-nap queen. Stevie loves gentle pets, being close to her people, and following familiar voices around the house. Her playful side comes out once she feels comfortable — toys are a big hit!🐾 Dog friends:Stevie does best with calm, respectful dogs who mind their own business and let her move at her own pace. She’s happy to coexist with a laid-back pup who won’t overwhelm her.Stevie is young, loving, and ready for a patient, kind home that will help her continue to blossom — and show just how incredible blind dogs truly are. 💕📍 Based in Bryan, Texas. Story
From the streets to the soft life! This tiny 12-year-old, 15-lb sweetheart wasn’t in great shape when he was found—but look at him now! With a little TLC in his foster home, Bamm Bamm has blossomed into the cutest, happiest little gentleman. He is truly the definition of sugar-sweet. He adores people and other pets, and he is especially in love with his foster’s teenage daughter—his tail wags a mile a minute the moment he hears her voice. He’ll “shake hands,” dance for treats, and gladly curl up in any available lap. Blind but amazingly confident, Bamm Bamm navigates like a pro using his great hearing and incredible sense of smell.🩵 House-trained🩵 Sleeps through the night🩵 Great with dogs, kids, and new friends🩵 Dental completed & fully vetted🩵 Gentle, loving, and lap-approvedHe enjoys dog beds by day, snuggling in bed at night, and being wherever his people are. He’d love furry siblings but would be just as happy as someone’s one-and-only as long as there’s a lap to call his own.Bamm Bamm still has so much life, love, and tail wags to give. Could he be your perfect little sidekick? 🐾To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. Story
Like many dogs that CAMO rescues, Adrienne came to us in quite bad shape with severe dental disease, demodex mange, glaucoma and a luxating lens in her right eye requiring removal of that eye. But this little girl has recovered nicely and is ready to be adopted by someone who can manage the glaucoma in her left eye. With eye drops, the pressure has been lowered to well within normal range. And she tolerates the drops very well. Her foster mom reports that she has been an excellent patient. Because of her eye issues, she is visually impaired but can see light and shadows with her remaining eye. This does not slow her down. She gets around her foster home and the backyard quite well though does bump into things occasionally including other foster dogs. She also appears to be hearing impaired. Adrienne has gone from a trembling little girl when she arrived at her foster home to a relaxed lap dog. Her confidence builds every day. She does well in the car and at the vet. She is estimated to be about 10 years old and weighs in at 10 lbs. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. After her dental, she was left toothless but gobbles down canned food. Because she is visually and hearing impaired, she would do best in a home with no small children. If you believe you can provide Adrienne a loving forever home, please go to www.camorescue.org to apply for this sweet little girl. Adoption fee is: $150 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
