Mochi is a very sweet, gentle little guy with a calm and easygoing personality. He’s generally quiet, chill, and happiest in peaceful company. Thanks to loving care, she has healed, grown strong, and shown what an incredible mother she truly is. She raised her babies with patience and devotion and is now thriving in our care. Mama Shortcake is sweet, gentle, and so deserving of a life where she gets to be the one spoiled and loved. She’s ready to leave motherhood behind and start her own happily-ever-after with a family who will cherish her as much as she deserves. All dogs adopted through our shelter are vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before going to their new home. Meet Max! This super sweet terrier mix was found living outside but seems to be more used to being an inside lap dog. He is 17 lbs and is estimated to be a little over a year old with a playful puppy spirit. His fur is soft and silky with a beautiful mix of whites, grays, and browns. Max is healthy, chipped, and is scheduled to have his neuter surgery next week. Max is good with kids and loves dogs so much that if he's out on a walk and can't meet a dog he sees, he will whine and try to go say hello. Max has figured out the doggy door, knows some basic commands, and sleeps in his kennel. He likes to play with toys and enjoys wrestling with his dog buddies.This adorable boy needs an active family who will walk him every day and play with him. He loves to cuddle and will snuggle up to his favorite people. Max would do best in a home with other dogs. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs. Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions. Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house.
