All Aboard!!! Animal Rescue Passenger Shugar Waiting for a Forever Home!

Meet Shugar: This adorable girl arrived to our partner shelter terribly matted. She has been since shaved and is ready for a forever home to give her the life she deserves!

Shugar arrived at the shelter carrying far more than just tangled fur. 💔
This beautiful 4 year old Airedale Terrier girl came to us severely neglected, her coat painfully matted with dreadlocks formed from long term improper care. Beneath all of that overgrown fur was a sweet, gentle soul who deserved so much better than the life she had been given.
At 67 pounds, Shugar is a laid back, low energy girl who asks for very little. She’s content shade bathing on a warm day, quietly relaxing by your side, or dipping her paws in the pool now and then. She’s gentle and respectful with both people and other dogs, walks nicely on leash, does well in her kennel, and softly takes treats when offered. She has the kindest eyes and the calmest presence — the type of dog who just wants peace, comfort, and love. 🫶
Shugar will need regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and comfortable moving forward, and she deserves a family willing to care for her the way she always should have been cared for. No more neglect. No more being forgotten. No more carrying the weight of someone else’s failure to love her properly.
Now it’s Shugar’s turn to finally know what it feels like to be cherished… to sleep comfortably, to feel clean and cared for, and to spend the rest of her life treated like the queen she truly is. 👑🐾

Photos, information, age, breed, size, medical status, behavior, and adoption fee are all subject to change as we get to know them. We will continue to update their profiles with information and photos to better represent them!
We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have animals at our office, and not all animals attend adoption events. To coordinate a meet and greet with a specific animal please contact us!
We can only finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better, it takes time to review and approve applications!
We host adoption events almost every Saturday from *11:00 AM to 2:00 PM* around the Fort Collins community!
