Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $0 WAIVED if picked up in TN, $100 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Lacy, a scruffy, wiry-haired sweetheart with a quirky charm and kisses to spare for anyone within reach. This 1.5-year-old Airedale Terrier mix, possibly with a touch of Collie, weighs 46 pounds and brings a fun mix of friendly and shy all rolled into one funny personality. She loves greeting people with happy kisses, and once she settles in and gets comfortable, she is a total love bug who will lean into every pet and shower you with affection. Her energy adjusts with the moment, ready to play hard or relax depending on what the day calls for. Lacy is quite the athlete and adventurer at heart. She loves playing ball, wrestling with her canine friends, and going on hikes and walks, and she would likely be a big fan of the dog park too. She is very food motivated, and she would love learning new tricks with the right treats involved. She is housetrained when on a consistent routine and knows how to settle into her crate and sit for her leash, though she does best with an open crate setup or a small attached pen rather than being fully confined, since she prefers a little extra room to feel comfortable. Lacy is quite clever and athletic, capable of clearing a four foot fence, among other feats. She lives happily with other dogs and cats and was gentle and a little shy when meeting kids. The best home for Lacy is one where someone is around often and where she has at least one friendly dog companion to keep her company. If you have room in your home and heart for a joyful girl with a spark of mischief, Lacy would love to meet you. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Story
Meet Cooper, a 4-year-old Airedoodle weighing 40–45 pounds. While the family has had him seen he was a puppy, sadly they are looking to rehome him as he is too rambunctious and strong for their toddler and would be better suited for a home without young children. More than anything, Cooper misses the one-on-one attention he received before they became parents which is another reason they're looking to rehome him. As much as they love Cooper, they know he deserves a home where he can once again be someone’s main focus. Cooper is an incredibly loving, affectionate dog who loves being with his people. His favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch or snuggled up in bed. He has a lot of energy and would do best with an active family that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of love and attention. He has completed professional training and knows his basic commands, including sit, down, stay, paw, and off. Cooper does need some additional work with walking politely on a leash, as he can get excited and distracted during walks. He is fully housetrained and has no known health issues aside from seasonal allergies, which are well managed with medication. Cooper struggles with anxiety and can be easily startled. When meeting new people or dogs, he often barks because he is nervous—not because he is aggressive. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet and loving personality shines through. While he's currently living with two other dogs, he'd require very slow introductions. The family has never had him around cats, so they’re unsure how he would do with them. Cooper would thrive in: • A home with adults or older children • Someone willing to continue building his confidence through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement • An active family that will include him in their daily lives and give him the attention he craves His adoption fee is $450 and Cooper is vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. Story
Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
