Story
Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Home will be required to be within at 1.5hr radius to Lyles, TN Olivia is a 6yr old Airedale Terrier that was an owner surrender after her elderly owner fell and was unable to walk her any longer. Olivia was a breeding dog from Europe and used for breeding purposes shipped to multiple states only until a couple years ago when she ended up in a rescue in Texas. That is when her last owner adopted her and she was transported to Nashville. Olivia lived most of her life outdoors with other dogs and is just learning to trust people. She LOVES other dogs and they have been a great bridge in showing Olivia people are ok. She is now being affectionate and willingly wanting attention from us. It has been wonderful to watch her blossom into the dog she was meant to be, happy go lucky and playful. Olivia knows basic commands now, walks excellent on a leash and likes car rides. We will require a home for Olivia MUST be quiet, have at least one other social playful dog and a fully fenced yard. These requirements are non negotiable! Because she is shy no small children and we are looking for an adopter who understands dog behavior and what it takes to help a fearful dog feel safe, build trust, and blossom.

Story
Darla is a beautiful Airedale–Poodle mix who recently arrived in New England and is currently fostering in the Boston area. She was rescued from Memphis after her former family faced a situation they couldn’t safely manage. Darla is an athletic girl and learned she could clear a five-foot fence, which led to unsupervised neighborhood adventures. In an area where roaming dogs are at real risk, her family made the loving decision to help her find a safer, more suitable home.Darla is wonderful with children and does well with other dogs. She previously lived with young kids and especially enjoys their company. She’s affectionate, social, and happiest when she’s included in the family. Her Airedale–Poodle mix means Darla is low-shedding, which is a plus for many adopters. She’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and she’s settling into her foster home nicely. She appears to be house-trained and is enjoying the attention and routine she’s receiving.A fenced yard is not required for Darla, but if she does have access to one, it should be at least six feet high, and she should always be supervised while outside. She would also do well with an adopter committed to providing regular exercise and mental stimulation.Darla is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and ready to find her forever home. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, and engaging companion, Darla could be the perfect match.Name: DarlaBreed: Airedale Terrier/PoodleSex: FemaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 75.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Yes, has grown up with themGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NO CATSAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    MassachusettsIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
