📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. Meet Hudson👋🏻 This gentle, handsome boy was rescued as a puppy in 2021 from a small village in South Korea, along with his five siblings. While they’ve all found their forever families, Hudson is still waiting patiently at the shelter he’s called home ever since. It's hard to believe a dog as sweet, playful, and good-looking as Hudson hasn’t received more attention! We’re hopeful that the right family is out there—one that will give him the love and sense of belonging he truly deserves. • Personality: Gentle, Friendly, Goofy Hudson can be a little reserved at first, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes curious, friendly, and affectionate. He loves to greet people with a wag and a smile! / His energy level is moderate. • Affinity with - Dogs: Hudson is social and playful with other dogs, especially those around his size. He loves to run and play! - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Great with adults / Not tested with kids • Walking Manners: Hudson’s leash-walking skills are still developing—he’s used to roaming freely in the outdoor shelter. He follows along during walks with volunteers, though he can get a little nervous in unfamiliar places or when cars go by. • Housetrained: Hudson will need some time and guidance with house training as he adjusts to a home environment. He will probably prefer the outdoors once he has regular walks. • Bathing/Brushing: He’s a champ! He enjoys baths, brushing, and even trimming. • Car Sickness: Not tested • Separation Anxiety: Zero. • Barks/Howls: Not much • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats well. No food allergies found so far. • Shedding level (1~10): 6 • Likes/Dislikes: Hudson loves being petted and soaking up affection. • Health: A healthy pup! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.small sweetie ISO fresh start and love! FREEDOM NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Freedom and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (1/4) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!     Name: Freedom       Best Guess for Breed:  Wheaten terrier mix     Best Guess for Age:  5 years as of October 2025       SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  22 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:   Freedom recently had a biopsy that revealed a subcutaneous mast cell tumor, which was found to be less aggressive. The mass has been successfully removed; however, due to its deep attachment to the muscle and ribs, there is a possibility that small remnants may remain. This means there is an estimated 30-50% chance that the tumor could return over time. We're happy to speak to interested adopters about his test results and potential treatments. Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Freedom would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Freedom is Looking For: Freedom is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He's a sweet, shy boy that opens up quickly and who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures his new humans can dream up - oh yes, those too! But most of all, he wants to know where he belongs, to always be safe and loved. In exchange, he has so many adoring gazes, so much loyalty to offer. What do you say? Is Freedom who you have been looking for? What My Foster Says About Me:  Freedom is a lovable boy with a heart full of affection! This sweet boy absolutely adores his people and is always ready to show his loyalty with tail wags and cuddles. Freedom thrives on companionship and is looking for an adopter who can help him work through his separation anxiety. With patience, understanding, and some consistent training, Freedom will flourish into the perfect, devoted companion. He’s ready to bond deeply with his new family and bring endless joy to their lives—he just needs a little extra support to feel confident when left alone.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
