🐾 Meet Whiskey — Your New Shadow, Walking Buddy & Professional Squirrel Watcher! 🐾 Whiskey is an adorable 8-year-old Terrier with a big personality and a serious appreciation for the finer things in life: walks, fetch, tug-of-war, stuffies, and being as close to his person as humanly possible. Once he warms up to you, prepare yourself—you may have just acquired a 4-legged shadow. ❤️ Like any good Terrier, Whiskey takes his job as a small-critter patrol officer very seriously. Rabbits, squirrels, birds, and other tiny moving objects: Beware. 🐿️🐇 He’s also quite alert to sounds outside and people walking past the house, so apartment living would not be a good fit. Whiskey is smart, attentive, and redirectable, so some training could help him learn when he’s officially off duty. He’s a bright guy who enjoys having something to do, and his humans can put that clever Terrier brain to work. Once he knows you, Whiskey is sweet, cuddly, and wonderfully affectionate. He loves his people and would happily keep tabs on you throughout the day. Need to go to the kitchen? He’s coming. Moving to the couch? Already there. Going for a walk? Absolutely—and he would like to discuss the possibility of a second one. 😂 Whiskey is housebroken and will give you a little whine when nature calls, so at least he knows how to communicate important bathroom-related business. An adult-only home is preferred for this handsome guy. Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
