Story
Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Meet Elf – Your Future Companion! Sweet Elf is a Mississippi soul born on May 27, 2025, alongside their siblings. Their mother was a beautiful Airedale, and while dad’s breed is a mystery, we think he may have been a hound. Whatever the mix, Elf is 100% love. Personality Elf is a gentle, shy pup at first, but warms up quickly to humans and dog friends. Once feeling safe, Elf’s affectionate side shines—this pup truly loves everyone they meet! Best Home We believe Elf will thrive in a home with another dog. Elf loves to romp, cuddle, and share companionship, so a furry sibling would be perfect. Favorite Activities - Exploring the outdoors in a fenced yard - Watching birds and insects flutter by - Keeping you company while you garden - Going on walks and meeting new friends Smart & Ready to Learn Elf is already showing how clever they are! Puppy training classes would be a wonderful way to help Elf learn commands and bond with their new family.
