Animal Profile: Gazpacho is a 18-month-old approximately 40lb Airedale Terrier mix joining us from our friends at Kauai Humane Society. Gazpacho has been in a caring foster home since April, and has proven to be a friendly, happy guy. Gaz is house and crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs. He can be shy when first meeting new friends, but warms up quickly. He walks well on leash, and is food motivated and eager to please. Foster Update: Gaz is settling in well and is such a sweet shy guy! He loves the other pups in his foster home and we think will do best with another dog in his adoptive home to continue to build his confidence. He is great in his crate and does the sweetest little happy dance in the morning when it's time to come out of his crate. Gaz takes a bit to warm up to new people, especially men, but is such a sweet boy and worth the extra effort. He loves the 4 and 6 y/o kids in his foster home and is especially fond of cuddling on the couch with them. He is still quite a shy guy and will do best in a quiet home without too much noise and activity. With his confidence continuing to grow, we know he is going to make a perfect addition to one lucky family here in the PNW! We believe Gazpacho will do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard. We are not considering apartments or busy neighborhoods for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue. Franny is 7 years old and is a sweet heart, she unfortunately lost her primary discipline owner when she was three and has been living with a person effected with dementia so allot of the early training was lost. We have been care-giving for my mother (Frannys owner) for going on three years now in our small home on a tiny lot and we have our own dog. Unfortunately we are unable to give Franny the space, attention, time and exorcise that she needs. She does listen to come commands, she shakes and loves human attention, she is great with kids and other pets, she has growling and lunging issues on leash when encountering other dogs on walks but its all bark with no fight. She is house trained but has the occasional accident. She is very loved and we are saddened to have to make this decision but my mother can no longer care for her and we simply do not have the bandwidth to give her the attention or discipline she needs. Franny is invisible fence and Halo collar trained.

She was found on the streets where another dog was picking on her. Her body condition was low, and she feared some people. She is now healthy and safe and ready to find her forever home. Fara is looking for a home where she can be loved, petted, and never neglected again. She is not a picky eater. She enjoys water activities and outdoor adventures. As a young dog, she needs everyday walks and the opportunity to sniff. She is great at traveling by car but needs training to walk on a leash. She is still working on potty training. Fara is great with kids and dogs of all sizes but is still unsure about cats. Fara will thrive in a family that provides clear expectations and boundaries. She’ll benefit from basic training to help her understand what’s expected at home, especially since she’s never experienced living in one before. Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 2-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz has some loss of hair and will be taking a NexGard. This will take care of it and she will be as good as new in a few weeks. Her owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
