Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Bart is a 2.5-year-old, 55-pound Labrador Retriever/Airedale Terrier mix with a big personality and plenty of energy to match ~ he is sweet, goofy, funny, spunky, and just a little bit nutty—in the best way! Bart is a smart, eager-to-please guy who is very motivated by treats and loves having a job to do. He has a ton of potential and could go a long way with someone who is willing to put the time into his training and continued development. He can still be a bit mouthy, bouncy, and puppy-like, so he’ll need someone who can provide consistent boundaries and guidance while helping him learn how to channel all that enthusiasm appropriately. Bart is very social and enjoys playing with other dogs. He likes to play hard and can be a rough, growly, grumbly player, so he’ll do best with dogs who enjoy that same style of play. He also loves the water and would happily spend his days romping and playing in it. Bart is looking for an active home with people who have some experience with dogs and understand the importance of structure, training, and consistency. He’ll thrive with someone who enjoys being active and wants a dog who can join them on adventures and activities. Bart would likely do best in an adult home, or with dog-savvy children 12 and older who can handle his size and energy. He would also do best in a home without cats.
