Adoption Application adoption application >>>  Alaska was found dumped on the side of the road pawing at some trash. People reported seeing her for a week in the exact same spot. She never left because she was waiting on somebody to come back for her. She went without food and water for days planted where she was dropped off. When her now foster mom saw her, she stopped but wasn’t sure she would be able to catch her. Alaska was staying just out of reach with her tail wagging, and trying so hard to be trusting of a stranger. When her foster mom lifted her up she was so light and she could feel all her bones underneath her matted fur. After finally getting food and water, Alaska became sick because her body had gone so long without eating. We don’t know what all Alaska endured before being discarded but its clear she wasn’t shown much love. She can be timid of new people but she does warm up and will become your best friend in a couple of days. Alaska is still young probably close to a year old. She’s still learning that food will always be there, so don’t leave your chicken nuggets unattended! Despite her past, her house manners are pretty good. She has not had many accidents (none since getting in a routine of going out) and she sleeps in a crate without any issues. She likes cats and others dogs (just not really while she’s eating) She eats in her crate so she feels secure with her food. She pays no mind to the chickens and she likes kids. If you play a video on your phone she looks so confused, its like she’s experiencing life for the first time. After being given so little she is so grateful to be shown love. She is a great dog and we hope we can find this beautiful and sweet girl the best home where she can be loved for the rest of her days! Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, vet check, spay, microchip and a heartworm test.
