Story
Lucie is a Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix. She has been with my family since she was a puppy. She grew up with my three daughters, beginning when my older two were only 6 and 3. My third was born a few years later. Lucie is great with kids and other animals, She is also very friendly with new people. For the first 6 years, Lucie was raised on a 3/4 acre property with nearly 30 chickens, all of which she would watch over. The last 4 years have been in a residential area. She loves walks, pets, and snuggles.

These pups are in Yreka, California too!

Story
Meet Floyd – A Big-Hearted Gentle Soul Floyd is a sweet, sensitive boy with a heart full of love — he’s just waiting for the right person to share it with. A naturally gentle soul, Floyd needs a little time and patience to feel safe, but once he bonds with you, it’s a connection that runs deep. He’s the kind of dog who will be by your side through thick and thin, offering loyalty, love, and endless cuddles. Despite his larger size, Floyd is convinced he’s a lap dog. He absolutely lives for cuddle time and will happily stretch out across your lap, soaking up as much affection as he can get. He’s affectionate, tender, and thrives on close, loving relationships with his people. Floyd also enjoys the company of other dogs — especially larger, confident female dogs who help him feel secure and balanced. Because he can be a bit anxious when left alone, a home with another steady canine companion is highly recommended. In his previous home, Floyd lived with cats, but he has shown some chase drive around them. Because of this, he may be able to live with a feline companion only with a confident, experienced handler who can manage proper introductions and set clear boundaries. Floyd is looking for a calm, patient home that will let him come out of his shell at his own pace and give him the comfort of consistency, companionship, and lots of love. In return, he’ll give you unwavering devotion and the best snuggles you’ve ever had. Call the Ranch today to schedule a meet-and-greet — Floyd is ready to find the person (or people) who will mean the world to him. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       March 7, 2026, 12:07 pm

Story
Meet Timeless Teto — a one-of-a-kind shepherd with a whole lot of heart! If you're looking for a loyal, energetic, and goofy companion who thrives on play, Teto might just be your perfect match! This handsome guy is bursting with personality and looking for a dog-savvy home that understands how to respect his boundaries and meet him where he's at emotionally and physically. Teto is a toy connoisseur—he absolutely lives for toys! Squeaky, bouncy, chewy—you name it, he wants it. Providing him with a good variety of toys is a surefire way to keep this clever pup happy and mentally enriched. He also plays well with other dogs when introduced in the right environment. While he may prefer having his own space at home, he’s proven to be a polite and fun playmate with the right canine pals. That said, Teto isn’t the type of dog who enjoys crowded spaces or chaotic environments. Loud, bustling settings just aren't his thing. He’s much more comfortable and confident when he has room to breathe and time to adjust. Because of this, he may be happiest in a home where he can live primarily outdoors—especially if you’ve got a secure yard, open land, or a more rural property where he can stretch his legs, chase his toys, and enjoy life at his own pace. Teto is looking for a special person or family—someone experienced with a variety of dog personalities and confident in giving him the space, structure, and patience he needs to thrive. Once he bonds with you, he’s all in—and that bond will be deep, rewarding, and full of joy. Ready to meet your loyal shadow, fetch partner, and best friend? Call the Ranch to meet Teto today!   Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog.
