Story
Meet Jenna – Your Gentle Guardian Angel Jenna is a sweet, gentle soul looking for a calm, loving home to call her own. This lovely girl enjoys the best of both worlds—snuggling indoors with her people and spending time outside quietly keeping an eye on her surroundings. She arrived at the Ranch with her beloved momma, Callie, and the two shared a very special bond. Jenna is friendly and affectionate with new people, though she can feel a bit overwhelmed in busy or loud environments. Because of this, she would thrive best in a quieter home where she can relax, feel secure, and truly blossom. Her calm presence has even made her a pet therapy star, bringing comfort and peace to seniors in serene settings. Though a bit shy at first, she warmed up quickly and clearly enjoyed the experience of making others feel at ease. She walks beautifully on a leash and is learning basic cues like “Sit” and “Down.” Jenna is eager to please, and her mellow nature means she doesn’t need extensive training—just gentle guidance, consistency, and encouragement. Like many large guardian-type dogs, Jenna does have some food-related resource guarding, which is common for her type and very manageable with respectful feeding routines and clear boundaries. In foster care, Jenna was introduced to cats, turkeys, and chickens. While on leash, she showed calm curiosity and appropriate behavior, allowing them to move around her without concern. Off leash, she did display some chase instinct, so she will do best in a home that understands the importance of leash use, supervision, and secure spaces when around cats or poultry. With thoughtful management and consistency, Jenna continues to grow in confidence and stability. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a soft heart, a steady presence, and a deep appreciation for peaceful moments, Jenna may be your perfect match. Call the Ranch to schedule a meet-and-greet with Jenna today! Read Jenna's Dog of the Week post here: https://rrdog.org/dw/meet-jenna/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.  All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       January 16, 2026, 6:53 pm

When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee.
