Story
Meet Frost: A Gentle Giant in the Making! Hello, my name is Frost, and I'm a 6-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy weighing in at a whopping 66 pounds of fluffy goodness! While I may look big and brave, I'm still a baby at heart and learning that the world isn't such a scary place. When you first meet me, I can be a little shy and unsure, especially in my kennel. New people and new situations can make me nervous. But if you give me a little time, patience, and understanding, you'll start to see the sweet, gentle boy hiding beneath my cautious exterior. Once I'm outside and feeling more comfortable, my personality begins to shine! As a growing Great Pyrenees pup, I will benefit from continued confidence building, positive socialization, and leash training. I'm looking for a family that understands that trust takes time and that every small victory deserves to be celebrated. With kindness, consistency, and love, I'll blossom into the loyal and devoted companion I'm meant to be.Because of my size and my breed, I would love a fenced yard where I can safely stretch my long legs and enjoy the outdoors. I'd also be thrilled to have a confident doggie friend to help show me the ropes and remind me that life can be pretty fun! Due to my already impressive size, a home with older children would be the best fit for me.If you're searching for a gentle soul who just needs a little guidance and a lot of love, Frost may be your perfect match. Behind these fluffy ears and big puppy paws is a loyal best friend waiting to emerge. Could you be the one to help me discover just how wonderful life can be?Frost is ready to find a patient, loving family that will help him build confidence, create lasting memories, and become the amazing companion he is destined to be. APPLY FOR HAMILTON  MEET HAMILTON — YOUR NEW SHADOW, SIDEKICK & PERSONAL CONVERSATION PARTNER!  Meet Hamilton, a ridiculously adorable Great Pyrenees/hound mix who was born on May 22 and currently weighs about 12 pounds. His mom is a Great Pyrenees, and Dad is suspected to be a hound mix — which means Hamilton may have inherited a little bit of everything: brains, charm, a great nose, and a LOT to say!  Hamilton is what we lovingly call a Velcro dog. If you move, Hamilton moves. If you sit down, Hamilton is probably sitting next to you. If you go to the bathroom… Well, let's just say privacy is overrated.  This boy absolutely LOVES his people and wants to be involved in whatever you're doing. Hamilton is:  Good with dogs Good with cats Good with kids Very smart A certified Velcro dog A proud follower Loves his people BIG And he likes to talk!  Neutered, microchipped & vaccinated And when we say Hamilton likes to talk, we mean this boy has opinions.  He may have a little something to say about what you're doing, where you're going, why you're leaving the room without him, and possibly why dinner is taking so long. He's not being difficult — he's just making sure his voice is heard! Hamilton is also incredibly smart and eager to be part of his person's world. He's the kind of dog who will watch what you're doing, follow your lead, and then happily stick by your side. He's not looking for an independent lifestyle. He's looking for HIS PEOPLE.  He wants a family who will let him be their little shadow, include him in their adventures, and appreciate having a loyal companion who thinks being within three feet of you is the absolute best place to be. Hamilton's dream schedule probably looks something like: Wake up → Find my people → Follow my people → Talk to my people → Follow my people some more → Nap next to my people → Repeat.  If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, social little guy who will love you fiercely and make sure you never feel alone again, Hamilton may be your perfect match.     ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM APPLY FOR HAMILTON ##2814920##

APPLY FOR TEDDY  MEET TEDDY — PART FLUFFBALL, PART TEENAGER, 100% GOOD BOY!  Teddy is a young Great Pyrenees mix born around February 12, 2026, and at about 40 pounds, he's still got some growing to do — although he is expected to remain a medium-sized adult. Right now, Teddy is sporting a very unique look. His previous owner gave him a shave, so while his gorgeous Pyrenees coat grows back, he’s giving us “mini husky who accidentally shrunk in the wash” vibes. And honestly? He’s pretty darn cute! Teddy has a moderate energy level, making him a nice balance of playful and chill. He enjoys getting out, exploring, and having some fun, but he doesn't need to run a marathon every morning. A secure fenced yard would be wonderful for him to safely stretch his legs, play, and get those occasional puppy zoomies out! And Teddy is a smart guy who is already learning his manners. He: Walks nicely on a leash Knows sit, stay, down, kennel & leave it Good with kids and other dogs Is working with our training team Is learning his kennel skills Is neutered, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room… Teddy is a teenager.  Which means he occasionally has a great idea, decides it's the BEST idea he's ever had, and then remembers he was supposed to be listening. He'll need a family who understands that young dogs don't come with an instruction manual and is willing to provide patience, structure, consistency, and positive redirection as he continues learning how to be the best version of himself. Teddy also has a sensitive neck. If someone he doesn't know tries to touch around his neck, he can get mouthy. Once he gets to know and trust you, though, that behavior stops. His future family will simply need to respect his boundaries and continue building that trust. He's not much of a talker — Teddy prefers to let his goofy personality do the talking.  Underneath the teenage shenanigans is a very sweet boy who wants to learn, wants to be loved, and really just wants a family of his own. Teddy doesn't need someone looking for a perfect dog. He needs someone looking for a funny, goofy, lovable work-in-progress who will grow into an amazing companion with the right guidance. A little training.A little patience.A little laughter. And a whole lot of love. Teddy is  ready to find his people!    Apply at astdogrescue.com/dog-application ♥ Adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and alteration (see more details on our website)  ADOPTION FEE: $563  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM APPLY FOR TEDDY ##2814856##

APPLY FOR ABE MEET ABE: PROFESSIONAL CUDDLER, PART-TIME PLAYMATE, FULL-TIME GOOD BOY! At just 13 pounds* Abe may be little right now, but this Great Pyrenees/hound mix has a BIG personality and an even bigger heart! Abe is the kind of puppy who is happiest when he knows his people are nearby. He's a total follower, which means wherever you're going, there's a pretty good chance Abe will be right behind you thinking: “Oh, we're going THAT way? Cool. I'm coming too.” And honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.   Abe is: Good with dogs Good with cats Good with kids Playful Very cuddly A certified “where you go, I go” kind of guy Neutered, microchipped & vaccinated Abe loves to play, but his favorite activity may be snuggling up with his people after the fun is over. He's sweet, affectionate, and just wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He's not the puppy who's going to march into a room and announce, “EVERYONE FOLLOW ME!” That's not Abe's style. Abe is more like: “You go first… I'll follow.” He's an easygoing little guy who would love a family to grow up with - preferably one that doesn't mind having a furry shadow following them around the house! At 13 pounds, Abe is still a little guy, but he's got plenty of love packed into that adorable puppy body. If you're looking for a sweet, cuddly, playful friend who thinks you are the most interesting thing in the world, Abe might be your guy.     ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM APPLY FOR ABE ##2814919##
