We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). 💕 HOW IS THIS BEAUTIFUL GIRL STILL WAITING? 💕 Our sweet Katie is still searching for her forever family, and we just know her people are out there. ❤️ Katie is a gorgeous 6-year-old Great Pyrenees and about 90 pounds of pure love, fluff, and personality. She is one of those dogs who absolutely LOVES her people. She hasn’t met a stranger she doesn’t like and is happiest simply being part of whatever you’re doing. She’ll follow you around, lean in for affection, make you laugh with her goofy personality, and look at you like you are the most important person in the entire world. 🥹❤️ 🐾 6 years old 🐾 Great Pyrenees 🐾 About 90 lbs 🐾 Loves people — everyone is a friend! 🐾 Sweet, affectionate & easygoing 🐾 Silly, goofy personality 🐾 Loves getting out and going on adventures 🐾 Loyal, loving companion 🐾 Professional fluffy shadow 🥰 Katie can be a little enthusiastic when meeting new dog friends and benefits from some guidance on leash, but underneath all that big-dog excitement is an incredibly loving girl with a huge heart. We can picture Katie spending her days taking walks with her family, going for car rides and adventures, relaxing on the porch, and then curling up nearby at the end of the day because wherever her people are is exactly where Katie wants to be. ❤️ She has so much love to give.
