Story
ABOUT MINOS This big boy is a 4-year-old shepherd mix, weighing roughly 90 lbs. Minos came to HAP from San Antonio, Texas, following the devastating floods. While we aren't too sure of his past, Minos is definitely a more lowkey pup. He has a quiet confidence and a strong sense of independence. He enjoys doing his own thing and prefers to take his time when getting to know new people. Once he gets to know you and feels comfortable, Minos shows his affectionate side. He would thrive in a home that respects his need for personal space and understands that not every dog wants constant attention. Minos enjoys calm walks, lounging in cozy spots, and observing the world around him. He’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a more low-key, respectful relationship with their dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion who values independence just like you do, Minos might be your perfect match! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
This golden goofball is Chip—a big, bouncy mixed-breed mystery mutt who’s got the heart of a pup and the face of your favorite grandpa. Found as a stray in Georgia, Chip showed up skinny, heartworm positive, and down on his luck. But don’t worry—this comeback king got the royal treatment, beat heartworms like a champ, and is now living his best life up north while he searches for his forever couch (ahem, we mean home).Chip is currently on a very important mission: Operation Get Chunky. At 84 pounds, he's got the frame of a linebacker and the metabolism of a teenager, so we’re working hard to get some extra fluff on those bones! He’s a charming guy with luscious golden locks, soulful eyes, and a permanent “I just woke up from a nap” expression. Despite the distinguished mug, Chip's energy is all zoomies, tail wags, and belly flops.Chip is a social butterfly when it comes to meeting other dogs out and about—he enjoys having doggie friends to hang with—but he’d prefer to be the only animal in his home. He’s good with kids over 12, leash-savvy, and knows some commands (he’s very smart… when he feels like it). He’s the kind of pup who’ll make you laugh with his goofy antics, ridiculous sleeping positions, and dramatic sighs when he doesn’t get his way. Now, full transparency—Chip isn’t a huge fan of sharing his food or treats. Everything else? No problem! But when it comes to snack time, he prefers a little personal space. We totally get it (who doesn’t get hangry?), and we’re working with him on polite mealtime manners.Chips's adoption fee is $100, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoptionPlease note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! ACSKC Health Care for Each Adopted Pet Includes:Dogs: Preventatives for parasites, vaccines (Kennel Cough, Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip, behavioral assessment.Cats: Parasite treatment, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming for kittens, vaccines (Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip. What You’ll Take Home:Toys, treats, and food sampleRabies tag, microchip number, and medical recordsA “Pet Pal Packet” with feeding info, training tips, and guidance for helping your new pet adjust

Looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love every single day? Allow us to introduce Kelly, a stunning girl with a heart full of affection and a spirit that lights up every room she enters. And SPEAKING of showers.... SHE LOVES THE WATER :) Kelly is a love bug through and through. One of her favorite things in the world is giving warm, gentle hugs. Lean in, and she’ll nestle right into you, as if to say, “You’re my person.” She absolutely adores being close to her humans, and there’s nothing she enjoys more than curling up beside you after a day full adventures. Scratches? Yes, please! Behind the ears, under the chin, or right at the base of her tail—Kelly is always up for a good scratch session, and she’ll reward you with the sweetest look of pure bliss. Kelly is the kind of dog who will quickly become your shadow—in the best way. She’s loyal, calm, and always eager to be part of the action, whether it’s a quiet evening at home or a walk around the neighborhood. She thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where she gets plenty of attention, affection, and quality time with her people. She's the perfect blend of affectionate and mellow—loving and eager to please. Kelly is ready to start her next chapter with someone who will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish them. NO EMAIL. PLEASE CALL AMBLER DOG RESCUE 267-471-3000 - SCOTTY RESCUE SEE MY DAILY ACTIVITY AT https://www.facebook.com/ambler.dog.rescue Pupper Girl is a 10-month-old Australian Shepherd whose presence feels like a small miracle stitched into everyday life. Her coat shimmers with the hues of early morning light, and in her eyes lives a spark that suggests she understands far more than she lets on—an ancient wisdom wrapped in puppy wonder. Playful as the day is long, she greets each sunrise with the enthusiasm of a creature who believes the world was made just for her to explore. She bounds through grass like a brushstroke of color, swift and joyful, her paws drumming tiny rhythms across the earth. Sticks become enchanted scepters, shadows turn into dance partners, and every gust of wind is an invitation to chase the impossible. But Pupper Girl is more than motion—she is a feeling. In quiet moments, she curls herself gently into the curve of your legs, offering warmth with the reverence of a loyal guardian. Her heartbeat softens the corners of the world, reminding you that peace can be found in something as simple as a pup choosing your side as her favorite place to rest. She is clever, quick to learn, and eager to please, yet her mischief—soft and innocent—adds its own charm to her growing legend. A stolen sock becomes a tale to tell; a tilted head becomes a question mark painted in fur. Pupper Girl is wonder stitched into muscle and motion, devotion hidden beneath a tumble of playful energy. She is the laughter that shakes loose after long days, the comfort waiting at the doorway, the spark that makes an ordinary morning feel like a celebration. To love her is to understand that some souls—no matter how young—carry the wide, wild sky inside them. And Pupper Girl, beautiful and bright, is one of those rare souls indeed. NO EMAIL. Story
Zara has been a part of our family since she was a puppy. She will be 4 years old in November. We would love for her to go to a pet free home. She needs a lot of attention and with our schedules becoming more busy we are not able to provide that. We sent her to a two week training when she was a puppy where she was taught many commands like sit, down, place, and heel which she does well with, she uses a training collar. She is a protective dog so we slowly introduce new people to her which she does well with and have not had any biting incidents. She loves kids I have a 10 year old and a 18 month old.
