Story
Meet Janet — A Gentle, Big-Pawed Baby Guardian 🤍 Janet is a precious 2-month-old Akbash/Anatolian Shepherd mix, and she’s every bit as special as she looks. With her soft personality, oversized puppy paws, and gentle spirit, this little girl is ready to melt hearts wherever she goes. Janet is playful, social, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. After playtime, she’s always happy to curl up for a nap—she’s truly the perfect mix of fun and calm. At night, Janet settles beautifully in her kennel when placed in your room, sleeping soundly while you sleep. Her sweet nature shines with every new person she meets. Her foster mom even brought her to her assisted living facility, where Janet greeted each resident with a wagging tail and a soft, gentle approach. She quickly became the star of the day—everyone adored her! As a guardian-breed mix, Janet would do best in a home with a large yard where she can explore, stretch her legs, and grow into her breed’s natural instincts. Janet is truly something special—loving, kind, and full of potential. She’s ready to find the family who will cherish her as much as she’ll adore them. 🤍🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
🪿Introducing Goose🪿 Goose is a female Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. She was taken in by a person who didn’t want her to be euthanized when her original owner needed to get rid of her, but that person took on more than she could handle and asked for help. She is a super sweet girl who still acts like a puppy. We are thinking she is between 1-2 years old. She has never been a working dog, she has only known soft couches and chairs and the indoors. Yes she loves the outdoors, but she just wants to be where her people are. She’ll become your shadow and she is not ashamed to beg for food or attention. She does have a problem hovering near other dogs when they are eating, so know it may be best to separate Goose and any other animals when they eat. Goose does jump, we are trying to work with her. So we believe she would do best with older kiddos in case she forgets her size, unless you are willing to work with her and not give up on her. She does know “sit” and since she is super food motivated, we think she’d do great with more basic training. Goose has been in a home with small dogs, big dogs, and cats. She sometimes chased the cats, but never tried to hurt them, she just wants to play. Most of the dogs were older and they didn’t appreciate her rough housing. We wanted to get her pretty face out there, as the noisy kennel is already stressing her out. She is heartworm negative and just needs microchipped once we find her furever family. If you would like to meet Goose, you can send the page a message or call us during business hours at 913-367-5530.
