Story
Rosie and Pedro are as sweet as they look—and "cuddly" doesn’t even begin to describe them! This inseparable mother-son duo is looking for a family with a big heart to call their own. They came to us from a farm where they never had the chance to experience the comforts of a home, but they’re quickly adjusting. They’re learning leash manners and getting the hang of walking on tile, which is a whole new adventure for them! From sleeping outdoors in the dirt to snuggling up on cozy dog beds, they’re absolutely loving their new life. Rosie is a confident, friendly girl who’ll happily say hello to just about anyone. Pedro is a bit more reserved, but once he feels comfortable, he’s incredibly affectionate. While Rosie can be mildly reactive on leash toward other dogs, she’s a loving and devoted companion. Both Rosie and Pedro would thrive in a home with a yard where they can roam and explore. They’ll be sure to follow you everywhere, keeping you company every step of the way. Rosie has been diagnosed with Copper Hepatopathy, that was found during a routine wellness exam. She manages this condition well with daily medications, supplements, and a special liver diet. Her condition is stable and she is asymptomatic, but her new family will need to continue monitoring her liver values with their vet and ensure she receives her necessary supplements. With a little extra care, Rosie and Pedro will bring love, joy, and loyalty to their forever family.
