Story
A sweet, mild-mannered dog, Sisha came to me as a rescue from a farm where she was abused by her mother. She's a livestock guardian dog breed, but loves people and prefers their company. She has no interest in livestock but is naturally protective of those she loves. She has never bitten anyone and is great with children but her size and bark frighten strangers, making her an ideal family guard dog. She's an outdoor dog only. She could be at a home with a male dog, but she doesn't do well with female dogs. I am rehoming her because I am moving abroad and will be in a very small apartment. If that weren't happening, I would never rehome her. Sisha requires very little. She loves being petted and brushed, loves treats, and loves to see me but spends most of her time on her own keeping her eye on the property. She is playful and loving and my heart breaks to put her up for adoption.

Kiara is a mixed breed, momma was a purebred Great Pyrenees that was also outdoors and free roamed a lot, don’t know who the father was. She’s an outdoor dog, she was essentially going to be a farm dog but doesn’t do well with chickens or cats. Very energetic and playful, loves attention! DOB 2/24/24. Does great on walks, loves playing with other dogs! Unfortunately can’t keep her because she’s not friendly with our other animals, and I can’t give her the the attention she needs and deserves.

Huck is a fully vetted Anatolian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, about 9 years old, weighing 86 lbs. Huck has the sweetest face and a heart just as big as his body. He LOVES playing ball — though returning it is optional in his mind. He prefers a system where everyone gets their steps in, so yes… you’re going to work for it. He also loves jumping up for hugs and going on long sniff-filled walks, taking in all the important neighborhood gossip. He is completely house trained, incredibly loyal, and very protective of the people he loves. Huck would make an amazing family dog (good with adults, kids and dogs. No cats please) and is the kind of guy who will happily alert you when someone comes up the driveway — free security system included. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, big-bodied, endlessly lovable companion — Huck is ready to finally go home. He deserves a couch, a yard, and a family who sees how special he is.
