Meet Kya — the Friendly “Watchdog” Who Loves Everyone. Kya is 4 years old and 100 pounds. She is a Great Pyrenes.
Kya may look like a watchdog, but the second anyone walks in, she’s ready to be their best friend. She’s not just gorgeous — she’s smart. She arrived already housetrained, walks nicely on a leash (she only pulls for bunnies!), and knows sit, shake, and down. She has great car manners, gets along with every dog she meets, and is crate trained with zero destructive habits. Truly a super chill, easygoing girl.
Kya was clearly loved before, which makes it even more surprising she ended up in a shelter — definitely no fault of her own. She sticks close to her person, and we’re working on helping her feel okay when I leave the room. She’s already improved a lot in just two weeks.
Her beautiful thick coat needs regular brushing; she doesn’t love it but is very tolerant. She’s never growly or snarky, handled her vet visit calmly (even blood draws!), and was an angel for her bath.
Kya is a sweet, gentle, friendly companion ready for a home that will love her as much as she’ll love them. She's good with other dogs but we haven't had a chance to cat test her yet. If there are children in Kya's forever home we think she would do best with children 5 years and up.
Kya is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
