Story
Meet Ellie! Born in 2017, she is a young senior looking for a soft place to land. Anatolian shepherds are known to be somewhat aloof and Ellie had been part of a hoarding situation early in her life, so she takes time to warm up to people. Once she does, she will politely ask for gentle pats, shoulder rubs, and even tummy rubs. She is sweet and gentle, but does startle easily. She would be happier staying at home than accompanying you on your outings. Ellie's ideal home will have good fencing, not too many visitors, and people who appreciate having a 100+ lb. dog in their home. She does well with other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Because she could knock someone down if she is scared, Ellie is not recommended for homes with children under age 12. Story
Meet Austin! This Anatolian shepherd mix is still in training and will only be placed with a home that understands the breed and will work with Austin to keep up the progress he is making. Austin, like many rescue dogs, had a rough start to life. He is very shy around new people and takes a while to warm up to them. He was born in June 2020, so he is still fairly young and would benefit from ongoing training and human companionship. In his time at WAG, he has spent time with a similarly sized female dog, so he might do well with a canine companion. Austin is looking for a calm home, so children may be overwhelming to him.   Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: wagranch@yahoo.com Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.
