Story
Simba has spent too long waiting for his forever family. 💔 This strong and spirited Akita-Husky mix is full of energy, loves his toys, and is happiest on long walks or playing with his human. He’s sweet, loyal, and ready for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog with personality and heart, Simba is waiting to meet you! 🐕 Adopt Simba: https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 Full profile: Simba is a 6-8-year-old Akita-Husky mix with the personality of an Akita and the heart of a lion. He’s playful, sweet, and full of energy but needs a confident and strong adopter who understands his needs. 💪 Strength & Training: Simba is powerful and can pull when excited, so he needs someone physically capable of managing his strength. He’s learning commands like sit, down, paw, and “potty” and thrives with structure. A harness might help with his pulling. 🐾 Energy & Personality: Simba is not always a couch potato! He loves long walks (2+ miles is no problem), playing with his toys, and getting plenty of attention. He’s affectionate and cuddly but always ready for adventure. 🏡 Home Needs: Simba would do best in a home without small children due to his strength and energy. He’s good with other dogs, especially more timid ones, but does best with boundaries around toys and space. He’s also quite the counter-surfer, so keeping things out of reach is key! 🐕 Health: Simba has a thyroid condition that is managed with treatment, giving him renewed energy and playfulness. Simba has had a lot of love and care from his foster, but he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a strong, loyal, and playful companion, Simba could be your perfect match. 💙 Ready to meet Simba? Apply to adopt him and give this big-hearted boy the home he deserves. 📌 Share to help Simba find his forever home Currently being cared in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.

Story
Sex: FemaleBreed: Husky xEstimated Date of Birth : 10/15/2021Ginny and Luna the sweetest of sisters they love every human they’ve ever met. Their double happy energy is infectious and you’ll fall for them the moment you meet. It’s hard not to be drawn to their affectionate vibrant spirits. And maybe that’s what saved them. Happy, good dogs deserve a life outside of the shelter and these two had amazing guardian angels working hard to make sure they got out! These sweet sisters were found at an abandoned construction site and brought to the shelter, where they waited and waited with no interest. Through the shelters Streets of Bakersfield program, Jeff and Julie met them during a doggy day out. The girls charmed them instantly. Their gentle nature and bond were impossible to forget. Just a few days later Ginny and Luna came down with a doggy cold and were suddenly placed on the euthanasia list. Jeff and Julie knew in their hearts that this could not be the end of their story. Jeff reached out to us right away and shared who these girls truly are. Loving. Kind. Worth saving. We thankfully had room and Ginny and Luna were given their chance at freedom.Ginny and Luna are now with us, healthy, loved, and ready for the forever family who will adore them the way they deserve. Sweet affectionate sisters so thankful for their 2nd chance. Both girls are amazing with each other but very insecure and nervous around dogs they don’t know. They are ready to find their perfect homes so apply to meet Ginny, Luna or both we’d love to see these sisters find their home together. Story
Sex: FemaleBreed: HuskyEstimated Date of Birth : 10/02/2024When beauty meets mystique you get the stunning Wednesday! She is the sweetest soul with a quiet and calm presence you wouldn’t expect from a young husky blend. She is incredibly smart, already knows how to sit and shake, and walks on a leash like she studied for it. She is dog friendly, polite, and believes barking is optional… so she graciously opts out. We often find her calmly lounging in her kennel like a tiny zen master. She really is an incredible dog and we are shocked such an amazing girl lingered in our county shelter with no interest. Wednesday was picked up as a stray in the small farming community of Wasco, Ca. No one was looking for her although she’d obviously had tons of training and she sat at the shelter as potential adopters passed her by. Maybe they were worried a husky would be too hard but what they missed out on was an easy going girl who already had a solid foundation and just needed a new family to love. Their loss was our gain and we got Wednesday out and to the safety of our rescue ranch. Wednesday has embraced rescue life fully. She is patient, curious, gentle, and loves to learn. All those things are exactly why she was chosen for our Pawsitive Change program at Tehachapi State prison. She spent six weeks polishing her already impressive skills and was basically the valedictorian of good girls. She’s now graduated and ready for her forever home. If Wednesday sounds like your kind of brilliant sweetheart apply today. She can’t wait to meet you!
