Story
Meet Makoto! Hello! My name is Makoto, and I’m a very good boy looking for my forever home. I’m a 66-lb Akita mix who has been with BCAS for quite a while, and I’m more than ready to find my person (or people!).I’m a pretty calm, easygoing guy. I don’t jump on people, I walk nicely on a leash, and I enjoy the simple pleasures in life—like a good squeaker toy and, of course, treats (those are an excellent pastime, if you ask me).I’ve done well with respectful dogs, and I don’t seem to mind having cats around. I might be curious and give chase now and then, but with a little training and guidance, I’m eager to learn and do my best. I’ve also done well with people and could be a great fit for a home with respectful kids. One of my favorite talents? I’m a great road-trip companion. If you’re looking for a co-pilot who enjoys the ride, I’m your guy.So… am I the right dog for you? You’ll never know unless you fill out an application and come meet me. I’d love the chance to show you just how special I am.If you are interested in adopting this pet please visit www.blackfordcountyanimalshelter.com to complete our online adoption application.

We have owned him since he was a puppy. We're so regretful to find him a new home . He must go to anyone that will love him . He needs to be able to run outside like on a farm . He has anxiety issues he hates to be alone . And will chew whatever if he is alone. But if your with him all the time he's the best. He is closterfibic and can't be opened up. Any other concerns pls ask.

Story
Hi! I`m Lola!Weight 50# of pure husky energy!I`m exactly what you would expect a husky to be BUT I am also a cuddle bug, so you get the best of both worlds! You`ll get plenty of entertainment with my goofy antics, plus someone to snuggle up with at the end of the day. I would do best in an active home that would play with me or run around outside with me. I do LOVE playing with other dogs, but I don`t have the best manners. I can be a bit persistent with trying to play with every dog I meet. I probably wouldn`t do well with an older dog because of my manners, so I`ll need a dog that can keep up with me. Be sure to bring any current dogs in the home with you to meet me!
