Name: EllenBreed: Akita/HuskySex: Spayed FemaleAge: 5 years oldWeight: 70lbEllen is a 5-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart with a heart just as big as her personality. She’s affectionate, friendly, loyal, and smart—truly the full package! Ellen loves being with her people and is always ready for an adventure or a cozy moment by your side. She has previously lived with other dogs and may do well with a canine companion, but would prefer to meet any potential dog friends first to ensure a good match. Ellen has not been around children or cats, so a meet-and-greet would be recommended to see if she’s the right fit for your household. With her gentle nature, charming personality, and eagerness to please, Ellen is a wonderful companion who is ready to find her forever home.If you’re looking for a loving, loyal friend, Ellen would love to meet you!Adoption Application: https://qacmd.seamlessdocs.com/f/adoptionapp

Story
Rex is a big, handsome boy with surprisingly easy leash manners. Despite his size, he walks calmly without pulling and takes treats very gently—clearly a polite gentleman who is also very treat motivated. He is absolutely stunning, inside and out, and brings a great sense of humor with him. After going potty, Rex feels very strongly about covering his work and enthusiastically kicks dirt everywhere. Need a four-legged tiller for your yard? Rex has you covered. ??Rex enjoys fetch and plays nicely—no guarding at all. He’ll happily replace his ball for a treat, showing off both his good manners and his eagerness to engage with his handler. He was adventurous and confident when trying out the ramp and approached new experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm. He’s a solid mid-energy boy who enjoys playtime but knows when he’s done. Rex would be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a fun, responsive, and well-mannered dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Rex A537062Neutered/3 yrs old/ 67 pounds/Listed as Great Dane and Akita mix Rex has found himself back at the shelter through no fault of his own. He wasn’t getting along with the resident dog but he also wasn’t given enough time to decompress and as a smart, energetic working breed, that adjustment time really matters. With the right structure, training, and outlet for his energy, Rex has all the potential to thrive. More about big handsome Rex:Active & athletic — enjoys running around and would love an adopter who’s ready to keep him moving Toy fanatic! Loves all the toys—fetch, tug, and proudly holding onto the ball like it’s his prized possession Affectionate guy who offers sweet kisses once he’s having funSmart cookie who knows sit and is highly treat-motivated (training will be a win!)Playful but polite — didn’t mind sharing toys, just likes to keep one closeHouse-training potential — went potty several times outsideThose ears! They truly have a personality of their ownRex will do best with:A family who understands working breeds and can provide exercise, mental enrichment, and consistencyPositive training to help manage sometimes jumping on people when he gets excited.A slow, thoughtful intro to any resident dogs after proper decompressionRex is a happy, fun-loving boy who just needs someone willing to meet him where he is and help him become the best version of himsel
