Story
I got my Akita from an Amish farm in Pennsylvania, when he was about 3 months old. He is 5 years old now and his birthday day is October 21, 2020. He’s black and white, and weighs about 85 lbs. I think his ideal living situation would be on a large plot of land where he can run. He gets along with most dogs but preferably female dogs. He does tend to get anxious around new people at first, so I would not recommend children, although he currently lives with my 3 kids and he has never bit them. He has, however, pushed them over and scratched them a few times by accident. He has shown signs of aggression towards a few of my nephews though, which is why I’m giving him up. He is very protective of his family, maybe even to a fault, but he’s a sweet boy and I think he just needs an environment more suited for him, which I cannot provide.

Story
We are heartbroken to rehome Bruce. We adopted him at 9 months old from a family who couldn’t keep him, and due to our relocation, we now have to make this difficult decision. Bruce is a young, loving, and playful dog with lots of energy who thrives outdoors (especially in colder weather), but he also settles down quickly and enjoys relaxing with his people. He rarely barks and has a calm nature once exercised. He plays well with other dogs, is affectionate, loyal, and forms strong bonds with his family. He is smart and eager to learn, though he does have a mild pulling habit on the leash that can improve with training. Since this will be his third home, we are looking for a committed, loving family who is 100% ready to give him a permanent home. Bruce deserves stability, love, and an active home where he can truly thrive.

Story
Looking for a loving home for Shadow. She is a very sweet and friendly girl that is looking for a family to love her back. She loves walks and loves to run, so a yard will be important. My mother rescued her last year but is unable to properly care for her and I am allergic. I do not want to take her back to a shelter. I am looking for a home where she can be a part of the family, both giving and receiving love. She is crate trained and house trained. She does love to jump and can jump high. She is great with people, kids included. She gets excited around cats and dogs and is very friendly to them as well, as long as they dont mind her excitement. She just wants to play. She will make someone a very good companion.

Story
Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
