Story
Zuko is an akita-poo mixed breed, hyper-allogenic puppy about 5 months old. He is very cute and friendly and playful but also very energetic and sometimes mischievious :). He is mostly house-trained and will pee/poop outside but will still need to be monitored and taken out regularly to avoid accidents. We are looking for a new home for him because we cannot give him (and his brother) the attention he needs and it's becoming burdensome for us due to our schedules and other things we have going on. With the right owner, I know he will flourish into a really awesome companion.

Story
We got Frankie as a rescue 7 years ago when she was 5 months old. We have 3 young children who have all grown up with her and she is super sweet with them and all their friends that come over to play. Everyone that comes into our home loves her and says she's the sweetest. When people come into the house, she's excited to meet them, but usually settles down quickly and she's typically pretty mellow and calm in the house. She loves sitting on the couch looking out the front window, laying in the back yard basking in the sun, taking walks in the neighborhood, and chasing balls and other toys outside. She's always a fan of belly rubs. We love her dearly, but she is not good with other dogs. She has had a few incidents with other dogs in the neighborhood when our young kids left the front door open and she ran out. We think she would do better in a home with no other pets and either an area without dogs walking by or the chance of her getting out.

Story
Skipjack is a delightful and stunning 2-year-old Akita mix currently in a foster home. Skipjack loves adventure and he would thrive with an active person or family. In his home there aren't children, but they do visit! He does well with an 8 and 13 year old but may be a little too bouncy for small children. Initially shy, Skipjack reveals his goofy and affectionate nature once he warms up. He loves belly rubs and can’t get enough of the water, often splashing around in the dog pool. He does have a bit of a prey drive and might get distracted by rabbits or squirrels on walks, but he generally walks well on a leash. He would also prefer a home without cats. Skipjack is a sweetheart, responding well to direction and training, but he will need a committed owner to continue his training. He hasn’t had any accidents in his designated space and he is crate trained. He is generally well behaved, he is working on his excitement when meeting new people! Skipjack is a lovable, high-energy dog who would be a great companion for an active individual or family willing to continue his training and provide him with the attention he needs. You must be over 21 and a home owner to adopt me. Please visit www.pittiesandpurrs.org to fill out an application. For further information contact adoptpitties@gmail.com
