Story
Murphy is a giant cuddle bug. He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is a 4 year old Akita Lab mix who thinks he is a 100 lbs lap dog!! Murphy came to me a few weeks ago when his owner had to take on more hours at work. We have two dogs already (who he gets along well with) and are not looking to add to our home at this time. Murphy is extremely intelligent and loves to make friends. He is great around all dogs, cats, kids big or little!! He loves to be around people and loves adventures!

Story
C3PO is a timid baby who was brought to the shelter after wandering around for a couple of days. He is a sweet baby but needs someone to help him build his confidence. He has not been well socialized so he's quick to hit the ground or hide behind you if something scares him. He is already 35 pounds at 3 months old so it's important that his new family can work with him now before he's too big to pick up and carry when he's too afraid to move. He is doing better every day (leashes used to be terrifying and he's able to walk now). He loves other dogs but if they are too pushy, he melts into a puddle. He is gentle enough to live with small children but we are recommending older calmer kids just because a toddler tantrum or a noisy, running child would probably terrify him. He's going to be more work than the average puppy, but if you meet him, his sweet personality will melt your heart!

Story
Grizzly Grizzly is a male Husky mix. DOB: Nov. 15th,2023 Adoption fee: $225.00 I am a pup on the go!! But I always have time to slow down for some love and kisses. There is no guarantee on size, although my group appears to be on the petite size. I should be roughly between 40 and 60 pounds when full grown. I will require a physically fenced in yard, pending previous experience, location, and/or other plans for containment. I am not fit for apartment life. I should do well with other dogs pending a meet/greet and can be trained with a dog friendly cat. Pending observed interaction, I should do well with children 8 years and older. I do not appear to be the laid back, couch potato type of dog. Those who apply should be prepared for an active puppy into adulthood. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.
