Keyoko is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She had been living a good life until her owner died and she - and her buddy Zeus - suddenly found themselves at the shelter with nowhere to go. One of our wonderful fosters has agreed to take both of them in until we can find their new forever homes. In addition, a kind supporter has sponsored part of her adoption fee to help her get settled soon. At 8yrs old, Keyoko is still playful and loves to cuddle with her people. As an Akita, Ryden has natural protective instincts and forms strong bonds with his people. He has no bite history toward people and is deeply affectionate and people-oriented. He enjoys being near his family, leans in for pets, and thrives when he feels included. Recently, his family welcomed unexpected twin babies. With two newborns requiring constant supervision, they made the difficult decision that they could no longer provide Ryden the consistent time, structure, and focused attention he needs. They also felt that managing infants alongside a large guardian breed — especially one that needs structured boundaries — would not be the most responsible long-term setup.
