We adopted Copee 6 years ago, he’s an amazing dog but he needs lots of attention and I have three young kids at home that I don’t have time to take him for his walks anymore so he’s starting to act up, he’s trained, he’s a gentle boy. He loves attention and loves walks so he will need someone who will walk him at least once a week. He’s a smart boy too. He catches on to a lot real quick. He’s a talker too, likes to play and loves being scratched. It breaks my heart to let him go. I need him to go to someone who is active and has a fenced in yard for him because he’s an escape artist. It’s going to be real hard for me to let him go. So it needs to be a good home for him. He needs attention

We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.
