We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Story
Jupiter is a beautiful, sweet, loving and playful companion. Sadly, her former owner became very ill and is unable to care for her. She is very affectionate, loves attention with lots of cuddles, scratches behind the ears, belly rubs, and enjoys being brushed. She’s well versed with many common commands, such as come, sit, down, stay, leave it, backup, shake, rolls over, which is quite a feat for a large canine lol. Even at five years old, Jupiter has proven over and over to be a fast learner and has adapted quickly to her new surroundings. We’ve been working with her to improve upon her existing recall to come when there’s nearby distractions and walking on a lead without tugging and pulling. She’s making tremendous strides. We’re also in the process of working on her reactivity aggression towards other dogs. Jupiter needs to be in a household with no other dogs or cats.

Story
Murphy is a giant cuddle bug. He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is a 4 year old Akita Lab mix who thinks he is a 100 lbs lap dog!! Murphy came to me a few weeks ago when his owner had to take on more hours at work. We have two dogs already (who he gets along well with) and are not looking to add to our home at this time. Murphy is extremely intelligent and loves to make friends. He is great around all dogs, cats, kids big or little!! He loves to be around people and loves adventures!
