Akio's Story Meet Akio! Akio is a handsome 1-year-old Akita/Husky mix who came to us as a stray and is now ready to find his forever home. Weighing in at 73 lbs, this big guy has the looks—and the potential—to be an amazing companion. Akio likely spent much of his life outdoors, so he’s still learning some of the basics of indoor living. He pulls a bit on the leash and will benefit from continued socialization with people, but he’s already shown that he gets along well with other dogs and seems to do just fine with cats, too. He’ll need some guidance with housetraining and basic manners, but with consistency, patience, and positive training, Akio should thrive. He’s a young dog with lots of room to grow and would do best with an experienced adopter ready to help him learn and build confidence. Keyoko is a very sweet girl looking for her furever home. Her owner passed away and she is just lost without her owner. She loves to be around people. She was housebroken but needs a refresher course. Keyoko is 8 years old female and is very loving. These dogs are being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
