Story
Akio's Story Meet Akio! Akio is a handsome 1-year-old Akita/Husky mix who came to us as a stray and is now ready to find his forever home. Weighing in at 73 lbs, this big guy has the looks—and the potential—to be an amazing companion. Akio likely spent much of his life outdoors, so he’s still learning some of the basics of indoor living. He pulls a bit on the leash and will benefit from continued socialization with people, but he’s already shown that he gets along well with other dogs and seems to do just fine with cats, too. He’ll need some guidance with housetraining and basic manners, but with consistency, patience, and positive training, Akio should thrive. He’s a young dog with lots of room to grow and would do best with an experienced adopter ready to help him learn and build confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal, striking dog and are excited to help one blossom, Akio is ready to meet you! 🐾 Please apply for Akio at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

Story
Wisteria came in as a stray with Magnolia, but we are unsure if they actually lived together or made friends during their travels. She does seem dog friendly though. Wisteria is a happy sweet girl. She loves tossing stuffed animals and playing keep away. She also seems to be a very social girl and would do great with an active family. Wisteria walks nicely on leash and takes her treats very gently but does seem to be a bit picky as to which ones she likes. Please stop in and meet this pretty princess so she can continue her adventures.
