Story
Kai came to us as a transfer from another shelter, where he was found as a stray and never claimed. This handsome, strong-willed boy is now ready to find his perfect match—a dedicated and experienced caregiver who understands his unique needs. Kai thrives in an environment that offers structure and consistency. He forms deep bonds with his people and can be protective of both his loved ones and his personal space. Due to his protective nature, Kai would do best in a spacious home where he has the ability to be safely separated when visitors arrive. New introductions should be gradual, controlled, and involve proper muzzle training to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone. While still refining his manners, Kai is making remarkable progress. He’s quickly picking up on positive behaviors, such as sitting for attention and treats. His intelligence is evident as he eagerly engages in training, and he’s making strides every day. At this stage in his journey, Kai would be most comfortable as the only dog in the home, as we continue to assess and work on his interactions with other dogs. The ideal home for Kai will be with experienced dog owners who are familiar with training protective behaviours. He’ll need a spacious, secure home with the option for separation, no other pets, and a commitment to continuing his training with patience, consistency, and understanding.

Story
Meet Baekseol Baekseol is a sweet, confident puppy with a loving heart and a playful spirit.   Basic Info • Age: 4 months • Sex: Male • Neutered: Not yet • Breed: Jindo Mix • Color: White • Weight: 6.7 kg • Height: 37 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Baekseol was born to a Husky-mix mother who lived as an outdoor yard dog. He is from the same litter as Choco, Aru, Cream (already adopted), Baekseol, and Heukgom—all siblings born together.   ‍‍ People Socialization Baekseol is extremely affectionate and friendly. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, enjoys being petted, and even leans in for cuddles. He is comfortable with men and is wonderful with children under 13. He allows belly rubs easily and can be gently picked up, even by people he has just met.   Dog Socialization He is friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and loves to greet and play. Baekseol is not intimidated by large dogs and gets along well with them. While very high-energy dogs can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, he still manages well thanks to his confident and bold personality.   Cats Baekseol lived with a cat for one month and showed good compatibility.   Energy Level As a puppy, Baekseol loves to play and run around energetically. When he gets tired, he settles down and falls asleep quickly. That said, like all puppies, he needs enough daily activity and playtime to rest well.   ‍ Walks Baekseol gets very excited on walks—sometimes hopping around and moving in different directions. He tends to focus more on sniffing than walking straight, stopping often to explore scents. With time and consistency, this is expected to improve.   Other Notes • No food guarding with people or dogs • Food-motivated and eager—still learning patience around meals • Whines briefly when placed in a kennel but calms down quickly • Uses both indoor pee pads and goes potty outdoors   Baekseol is a loving, social, and adaptable puppy who will thrive in a home ready to guide him through puppyhood with patience, structure, and lots of affection Apply to adopt: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
Meet Heukgom Heukgom is a gentle, sweet puppy with a soft heart and a thoughtful personality.   Basic Info • Age: 4 months • Sex: Male • Neutered: Not yet • Breed: Jindo Mix • Color: Black & White • Weight: 7.3 kg • Height: 38 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Heukgom was born to a Husky-mix mother who lived as an outdoor yard dog. He is from the same litter as Choco, Aru, Cream (already adopted), Baekseol, and Heukgom—all siblings born together.   ‍‍ People Socialization Heukgom is very affectionate and friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar people. He especially loves men and approaches people happily for pets and cuddles. He does wonderfully with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently held. Even with people he has just met, he often shows his belly and relaxes easily.   Dog Socialization Heukgom greets and tries to play with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. He is most comfortable with dogs his own size or smaller, while larger dogs can still feel intimidating for him—especially high-energy ones. When dogs are around without people, he may hide from larger dogs, but when a trusted person is nearby, he often gathers courage and tries again, sometimes hiding between legs for reassurance. He is a sensitive and thoughtful puppy who gains confidence with support.   Cats He has lived in the same home with a cat for about one month.   Energy Level Like most puppies, Heukgom enjoys energetic playtime and then settles down quickly when tired. He needs appropriate daily activity to help him rest well.   ‍ Walks Heukgom is still new to leash walks. He tends to pull toward directions he wants to explore and focuses more on sniffing than steady walking. Because walks are still unfamiliar, he may bark at passing sights—likely a mix of curiosity and nervousness. With experience and patience, this will improve.   Other Notes • No food guarding with people or dogs • Food-motivated and eager—still learning to wait politely • Whines briefly in a crate but settles down • Uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty • Not a fan of baths yet, but after brief resistance, he calms and tolerates them • Overall very gentle, mild-mannered personality   Heukgom would do best with a family that can offer patience, reassurance, and gentle guidance as he continues to grow in confidence. He is a truly sweet soul looking for a loving forever home Apply to adopt : https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
Elsa is a 1-year-old female Wolfdog, weighing 23kg. She was rescued just in time from a shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. Now, she’s looking for a loving family who will give her the life she deserves. Elsa is full of energy, curiosity, and love, making every day an adventure! Personality & Behavior Elsa is a bright and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She expresses her excitement with joyful jumps when greeting her favorite humans. While this is endearing, she already understands the "sit" command, so with consistent training, she can learn to greet politely. Elsa thrives on human interaction and will form a deep bond with her owner through love, training, and patience. She is still learning how to socialize with other dogs properly. While she is not aggressive, she needs time and guidance to build confidence in dog interactions. Currently, she is undergoing training to help her navigate social situations with other pups. With continued support, she will improve and learn to play in a balanced way. Activity & Training Needs As a Wolfdog, Elsa is naturally athletic and has impressive jumping ability. She needs an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise to stay happy and well-behaved. A daily routine of long walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime will help her burn off energy and settle calmly at home. She is currently in training, where she follows a structured routine that includes three outdoor exercise sessions a day for potty breaks and play. If her new family maintains a similar schedule, Elsa will quickly adjust to her new home. Elsa is an intelligent dog who picks up training quickly. She already knows "sit" and is learning to wait calmly for treats. With consistent training, she has the potential to learn many more commands and become a well-mannered companion. The Perfect Home for Elsa Elsa will thrive in a home with: ✔️ An active family who enjoys outdoor activities ✔️ Someone committed to training and bonding with her ✔️ Experience with large dogs (or a willingness to learn) Elsa is young and still learning, but she is full of potential. With love, patience, and the right training, she will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog to share adventures with, Elsa is waiting for you!
