Story
Hi… I’m Lala 💕 I’m a 3-year-old husky girl, about 15kg, a little smaller than most huskies—but perfectly squishy and cute if you ask me. I have odd eyes (yes, I know, they’re gorgeous 👀✨) and a fluffy body that’s made for hugs. My life didn’t start out easy. I was once on the list at a city shelter, but kind humans gave me a second chance. When I was rescued, I had heartworm, but it was caught early and I finished my treatment like a champ 💪 Now I’m healthy and ready to start my real life—with you. I love people. Like… really love them. I don’t care if we just met—I’ll happily come say hi, wag my tail, and ask for your attention. I adore gentle hands, affection, and being noticed. If you look at me, I’ll probably already be walking toward you 🥰 I get along great with other dogs too! I enjoy having friends and exploring the world together. On walks, I can be a little curious (okay… very curious 👃), so sometimes I pull on the leash. I’m learning though! With patience and consistency, I promise I can get better. Because I spent a long time in a shelter, home life is new to me. At first, I might need a little time to adjust. I may feel anxious when left alone, and sometimes I express my feelings with husky-style howling 🎶 (I can be a bit dramatic). I’m also still learning outdoor potty routines, so I’ll need regular walks and kind guidance. That’s why I’m hoping for a family who understands huskies—or is willing to learn about us. Someone patient, steady, and ready to grow together with me. I learn fast when I’m loved, and I truly want to do well. If you choose me, I promise this: I’ll give you my whole heart. I’ll walk beside you, talk to you in my husky voice, and become your most loyal friend. With the right family, I know I can be the kind of dog who stays with you for life—through ordinary days and special ones. Could that family be you? 🐾💙

QUICK FACTS Name: Howell Age: Around 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Husky mix Color: Grey & white Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound, where I had been placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space. Thanks to my rescuers, I got a second chance at life—and now, I’m safe and dreaming of finding my forever family to love and care for me!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I have all the charm of a typical husky and still act like a very young pup! My teeth are so clean that staff and volunteers believe I’m around 1–2 years old. I’m a super energetic girl who may seem a little reserved at first, but I warm up quickly and don’t have much trouble bonding with people. I get along well with other dogs too, though I do best with furry friends who can match my high energy and love for play!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little reserved at first, but I’ll gladly take treats from your hand. Give me a bit of time, and I’ll warm up to you before you know it! I’m also comfortable being picked up, making me a sweet and affectionate companion. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends and playing with them! I’m very energetic, so I do best with dogs who have a similar play style. If another dog is pushy or rude, I’m not afraid to stand my ground, so slow and thoughtful introductions are important at first when I meet new furry friends. · With Cats: During walks, I get super excited and can’t resist chasing cats when I see them outside. Due to this, I would do best in a home without small animals or cats, where I can safely enjoy my adventures and focus on having fun with my family!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I’m a super high-energy girl—just like a typical husky! I thrive on plenty of outdoor adventures and mental stimulation before I can settle down nicely indoors. With the right activities, I’m happy, playful, and full of life!   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still polishing my leash walking skills—I get super excited and tend to pull a lot! With continued guidance, I’ll learn to be calmer during walks. Loud noises can startle me, so I walk best in quieter areas. I don’t guard my food around people, but I can be sensitive when other dogs come near me during mealtime, so I’ll need structure and management then. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel, and I’m confident getting on and off the car. I potty both indoors on a pee pad and outdoors, though with a consistent walk schedule, I prefer to go outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands that I will need more guidance with leash walking.  A family that understands my high energy needs and ideally experienced with huskies.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m considered a level 2 rescue dog, which means I’ll need at least a few days to a week to adjust to my new environment. I’m a super sweet girl with so much potential! I already know some basic commands, like sit and wait, and I’m eager to learn even more. For my safety, it’s important that I’m double-leashed with a harness and collar at first, so I don’t accidentally slip out while getting used to my new surroundings.   Howell's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2613215##

Story
All About Me Name: Ferrero Estimated Age: 2 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Laika Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 25 kg / 55 lb   My Personality Hi, I’m Ferrero and I’m as striking in spirit as I am in looks. With my sharp features and alert eyes, I might look like a wild northern breed but deep down, I’m a big-hearted goofball who loves people. If you’ve got hands, I’ll be right there nudging them for pets. I’m not shy at all and will gladly cozy up to strangers and soak in affection. You can even scoop me up with your arms around my belly yep, I’m that relaxed around humans. I’m clever, quick to learn, and very in tune with the people around me. That means I pick up on moods, routines, and especially… snack times.   Social Skills With People: A+! I’m affectionate, confident, and seek human connection. I have zero hesitation when it comes to meeting new people. With Dogs: I’m playful with dogs I like, especially female friends like Elena. But I am a bit opinionated if another dog rubs me the wrong way, I might give a warning glare. I can get jealous too, so being the only dog at home might be best. With Cats: I haven’t met any, so we’re not sure yet.   My Ideal Home I’m a smart, affectionate, and active boy who’s still learning a few basics. My ideal home would: Have previous dog experience or the confidence to train a medium-to-large dog. Be up for working on my leash manners and kennel training. Possibly be a one-dog household, or have a mellow female dog who matches my play style.   Life at Home I use pee pads indoors and go potty outside too best of both worlds! I ride quietly in a kennel once I’m in it, but getting me inside one takes a bit of strategy and training. I don’t resource guard food or toys. I sometimes bark if I really want something, but it’s not excessive—just a little “Hey! Notice me?” kind of bark.   On My Walks‍ Let’s just say… I get very excited at the start. I’ll pull toward all the interesting smells, sights, and sounds and maybe insist on walking my own route. But once I’ve burned off that first burst of energy, I settle down and walk much more calmly. I just need someone who can guide me with a firm, kind hand and help me learn that walks are a team effort.   Special Notes I’ve got the looks of a wild northern breed, but I’m really just looking for warmth, structure, and love. With the right guide by my side, I’ll be the most loyal and entertaining companion you could ask for. Ready to meet your next adventure buddy? I’ll be waiting with a wagging tail and my signature smile.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Ferrero's YouTube Playlist ##2458384##

Story
Pipo (pronounced Peepo) is a 5-year-old male, roughly 40 pounds. He appears to be a cross of some kind, perhaps husky and border collie. He is energetic, shy, bouncy, highly alert: just the gentlest, sweetest disposition and again, very affectionate. Pipo loves nothing more than to snuggle on the couch, or in bed. He is neutered, microchipped and 95 per cent house-trained -- but can occasionally lapse if left alone in the house too long. He is very good with people and dogs. His main issue is with cyclists: if they come near him he will lunge suddenly towards them, not aggressively but just out of excitement. His recall is not great and he likes to jump, so any off-leash any off-leash activity, at least in the short term, MUST be in a fully-enclosed space, with a high fence.  He currently lives with 2 dogs and would do well with another neutral or meek dog in the home. Pipo is quite sensitive and needs a very gentle home. His ideal home would be one where he is the centre of attention, where he can cuddle on the couch and bed. A home with someone who is experienced with rescued dogs and reactivity, and only uses positive reinforcement. His foster home is in  midtown Toronto.  Due to time constraints, we cannot respond to every email asking for more information on a dog. Please carefully review the bio for the dog and our adoption process https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/adoption-process/.  If you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application form at the bottom of that page.August 14, 2026, 12:11 pm

Hi, I’m Rian 💛I’m a 5-year-old boy, a Malamute–Husky mix, and I weigh about 23kg.I know… I look big and strong, maybe even a little cool. But if you get to know me, you’ll see—I’m actually just a big softie.I really, really love people.Even if we’ve just met, I might come right up to you like,“Hi… can we be friends?”I love being close to my person.Spending time together, making eye contact, sharing quiet moments…that’s what makes me feel safe and happy.Once I open my heart, I become very affectionate.I’ll want to stay near you, lean into you, and just be by your side as much as I can.I get along well with other dogs too!I have a gentle nature and enjoy playing, whether it’s with toys or with friends.I’m a bright, cheerful boy who just enjoys life and companionship.I was rescued from a place where my time was almost over…but I didn’t lose my trust in people.I still believe in love, and I’m still reaching out for it.I’m also a pretty quick learner! If you teach me with patience and consistency, I’ll do my best to understand and follow along.Because of my Malamute and Husky side, I do have lots of energy.I’ll need regular walks, exercise, and time to really let that energy out.A quick walk won’t always be enough—I’d love a family who enjoys being active with me.I can also have a little independent streak (maybe just a tiny bit stubborn sometimes… 😊),so I’ll need someone who can guide me with calm, steady leadership.Living in a home might be new for me,so I’ll need to learn things like house routines and potty habits from the beginning. But if you’re patient with me, I know I can become an amazing companion.I’m already ready to love someone with my whole heart. All I need now…is someone who will accept me, guide me,and stay with me for life. Will you be my person? 💛

Hi… I’m Duri 🤍 Before I met kind people, I spent a long time on my own… without care, without warmth. I just endured each day the best I could. But things have changed now. I’ve been given a chance to start over— and I’m waiting for a family to share that new beginning with. Maybe… that could be you. People say I look strong and handsome. My thick fur, my clear eyes… sometimes I remind them of a brown husky. But what I really want you to see isn’t just how I look— It’s who I am. I like people. I really do. I’ll come up to you first, gently, hoping to connect. I enjoy being close, sharing quiet moments, feeling like I belong. I also get along well with other dogs. Being around friends feels natural to me, and I’m comfortable sharing space and energy with them. Inside me, I carry something special— the calm loyalty of an Akita, and the intelligence and quick learning of a Jindo. That means when I bond with you… it won’t be shallow. It will be deep. Steady. Unbreakable. But I’m still learning. Living in a home is new to me. Things like potty training, daily routines, and how to behave indoors—these are things you’ll need to teach me, step by step. Because I’m a strong and active dog, I’ll also need guidance on walks and basic manners. I want to do well—I just need someone to show me how. In the beginning, I might seem a little unsure. A new place, a new life… it can feel overwhelming. But if you stay patient, consistent, and kind with me, I will find my balance. I’m not a difficult dog— but I am a dog who needs understanding. Someone who won’t just “have” me, but will truly live with me. Teach me. Connect with me. If you can do that… I promise you something rare. A bond built on trust. A loyalty that doesn’t fade. A companion who stands by you, no matter what. I’ve already come so far from where I started. Now I just need a place to finally belong. No more loneliness. Just warmth… and you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍

QUICK FACTS Name: Bach Age: About 5 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo – Akita Mix Color: Brown Weight: 25kg / 55lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was given a second chance through rescue, and my life has been filled with kindness and care ever since. Thanks to the people who believed in me, I've been able to leave my past behind and look forward to a brighter future. Now I'm excited to find a loving forever family and begin the next chapter of my journey, surrounded by love, happiness, and new adventures.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Bach! I'm a big, easygoing boy with an even bigger personality. Around here, I'm something of a legend— because I absolutely loved the challenge of seeing what I could climb over! Fences, gates, kennel walls... if it could be jumped, I considered it my personal obstacle course. Once I mastered every challenge, though, I happily retired from my "engineering projects" and decided life was much better spent relaxing. These days, I still prefer hopping over a low gate instead of using the open door—it has become more of a funny habit than anything else! Despite my adventurous streak, I'm one of the gentlest dogs you'll ever meet. I adore people, get along beautifully with every dog I meet, and I'm even wonderfully respectful of small dogs and neighborhood cats. Nothing seems to ruffle my feathers, and after a little fun, I'm perfectly content to stretch out for a nap as if the world could never possibly be in a hurry. My calm, steady nature has earned me the reputation of being everyone's dependable friend—like the wise, longtime neighborhood guardian who quietly watches over everyone. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle giant with an unforgettable personality, a great sense of humor, and the sweetest heart, I think we might just be the perfect match.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love being around people! Whether we've known each other for years or we're meeting for the very first time, I'll happily come over to say hello, lean against you, and soak up all the pets and affection you have to offer. Once we've become friends, I'll happily roll over and show you my belly—a special sign that I trust you completely. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I'm polite and well-mannered around other dogs. I'll usually walk over to say hello when we meet, but I'm not much of a playmate and generally prefer doing my own thing. I don't pay much attention to other dogs and am happy to peacefully coexist. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have low energy level – I have a calm, gentle nature. While I enjoy going for leisurely walks and spending time outdoors, I'm happiest relaxing by my person's side and enjoying a peaceful day together. I'm an experienced walker with excellent leash manners, so I stay close to my person, walk without pulling, and make a wonderful companion for quiet strolls.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. I'm a quiet companion who rarely barks. When I'm in my kennel, I may whine a little because I'd much rather be close to my people, but I settle well with reassurance and a consistent routine. I generally prefer doing my business outside during my walks. I may be tempted to mark in unfamiliar places, but with patience, consistency, and gentle guidance, I can quickly learn the house rules in my new home.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I may mark when exploring a new place, which is not uncommon for male dogs. With patience, consistency, and gentle guidance, I can develop great habits as I adjust to my new home.    BACH'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2787524##
