Story
Meet Heukgom Heukgom is a gentle, sweet puppy with a soft heart and a thoughtful personality.   Basic Info • Age: 4 months • Sex: Male • Neutered: Not yet • Breed: Jindo Mix • Color: Black & White • Weight: 7.3 kg • Height: 38 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Heukgom was born to a Husky-mix mother who lived as an outdoor yard dog. He is from the same litter as Choco, Aru, Cream (already adopted), Baekseol, and Heukgom—all siblings born together.   ‍‍ People Socialization Heukgom is very affectionate and friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar people. He especially loves men and approaches people happily for pets and cuddles. He does wonderfully with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently held. Even with people he has just met, he often shows his belly and relaxes easily.   Dog Socialization Heukgom greets and tries to play with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. He is most comfortable with dogs his own size or smaller, while larger dogs can still feel intimidating for him—especially high-energy ones. When dogs are around without people, he may hide from larger dogs, but when a trusted person is nearby, he often gathers courage and tries again, sometimes hiding between legs for reassurance. He is a sensitive and thoughtful puppy who gains confidence with support.   Cats He has lived in the same home with a cat for about one month.   Energy Level Like most puppies, Heukgom enjoys energetic playtime and then settles down quickly when tired. He needs appropriate daily activity to help him rest well.   ‍ Walks Heukgom is still new to leash walks. He tends to pull toward directions he wants to explore and focuses more on sniffing than steady walking. Because walks are still unfamiliar, he may bark at passing sights—likely a mix of curiosity and nervousness. With experience and patience, this will improve.   Other Notes • No food guarding with people or dogs • Food-motivated and eager—still learning to wait politely • Whines briefly in a crate but settles down • Uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty • Not a fan of baths yet, but after brief resistance, he calms and tolerates them • Overall very gentle, mild-mannered personality   Heukgom would do best with a family that can offer patience, reassurance, and gentle guidance as he continues to grow in confidence. He is a truly sweet soul looking for a loving forever home Apply to adopt : https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Meet Baekseol Baekseol is a sweet, confident puppy with a loving heart and a playful spirit.   Basic Info • Age: 4 months • Sex: Male • Neutered: Not yet • Breed: Jindo Mix • Color: White • Weight: 6.7 kg • Height: 37 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Baekseol was born to a Husky-mix mother who lived as an outdoor yard dog. He is from the same litter as Choco, Aru, Cream (already adopted), Baekseol, and Heukgom—all siblings born together.   ‍‍ People Socialization Baekseol is extremely affectionate and friendly. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, enjoys being petted, and even leans in for cuddles. He is comfortable with men and is wonderful with children under 13. He allows belly rubs easily and can be gently picked up, even by people he has just met.   Dog Socialization He is friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and loves to greet and play. Baekseol is not intimidated by large dogs and gets along well with them. While very high-energy dogs can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, he still manages well thanks to his confident and bold personality.   Cats Baekseol lived with a cat for one month and showed good compatibility.   Energy Level As a puppy, Baekseol loves to play and run around energetically. When he gets tired, he settles down and falls asleep quickly. That said, like all puppies, he needs enough daily activity and playtime to rest well.   ‍ Walks Baekseol gets very excited on walks—sometimes hopping around and moving in different directions. He tends to focus more on sniffing than walking straight, stopping often to explore scents. With time and consistency, this is expected to improve.   Other Notes • No food guarding with people or dogs • Food-motivated and eager—still learning patience around meals • Whines briefly when placed in a kennel but calms down quickly • Uses both indoor pee pads and goes potty outdoors   Baekseol is a loving, social, and adaptable puppy who will thrive in a home ready to guide him through puppyhood with patience, structure, and lots of affection Apply to adopt: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
Elsa is a 1-year-old female Wolfdog, weighing 23kg. She was rescued just in time from a shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. Now, she’s looking for a loving family who will give her the life she deserves. Elsa is full of energy, curiosity, and love, making every day an adventure! Personality & Behavior Elsa is a bright and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She expresses her excitement with joyful jumps when greeting her favorite humans. While this is endearing, she already understands the "sit" command, so with consistent training, she can learn to greet politely. Elsa thrives on human interaction and will form a deep bond with her owner through love, training, and patience. She is still learning how to socialize with other dogs properly. While she is not aggressive, she needs time and guidance to build confidence in dog interactions. Currently, she is undergoing training to help her navigate social situations with other pups. With continued support, she will improve and learn to play in a balanced way. Activity & Training Needs As a Wolfdog, Elsa is naturally athletic and has impressive jumping ability. She needs an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise to stay happy and well-behaved. A daily routine of long walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime will help her burn off energy and settle calmly at home. She is currently in training, where she follows a structured routine that includes three outdoor exercise sessions a day for potty breaks and play. If her new family maintains a similar schedule, Elsa will quickly adjust to her new home. Elsa is an intelligent dog who picks up training quickly. She already knows "sit" and is learning to wait calmly for treats. With consistent training, she has the potential to learn many more commands and become a well-mannered companion. The Perfect Home for Elsa Elsa will thrive in a home with: ✔️ An active family who enjoys outdoor activities ✔️ Someone committed to training and bonding with her ✔️ Experience with large dogs (or a willingness to learn) Elsa is young and still learning, but she is full of potential. With love, patience, and the right training, she will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog to share adventures with, Elsa is waiting for you!

Let me tell you my story!I’m a beautiful black-and-white Husky, weighing about 25 kg (55 lbs). My journey began in a breeding facility where I endured tough conditions before being rescued from a local shelter. Along the way, I faced some challenges, including glaucoma, which led to the removal of my eyes. But don’t let that fool you—I navigate the world with confidence, relying on my other senses and my incredible memory to thrive. Thanks to loving volunteers, I’ve blossomed into a happy, affectionate pup who’s ready to find her forever home.    My Personality I’m a friendly and affectionate girl who loves people. While I had a rough start and was wary of humans initially, I’ve completely opened up and now adore spending time with those who care for me. I’m full of energy, playful, and love to show off my sweet and goofy side. I might get startled if someone touches my face unexpectedly, but with gentle guidance, I quickly regain my trust and composure. Once I know you’re my person, I’ll remember you forever—my loyalty knows no bounds.    My Social Side I’m great with people and enjoy meeting new friends, both human and canine. While I’m happy to share my space and food with people, I might give a little growl if another dog approaches my food bowl—it’s just my way of setting boundaries. I rarely bark, and my calm demeanor makes me a great companion. I’ve adjusted well to life without sight and navigate social situations with ease, relying on my incredible memory and intuition.    Energy and Activities I have a moderate to high energy level typical of Huskies, so I love getting outside for walks and playtime. Despite my blindness, I walk beautifully on a leash and enjoy exploring the world around me with my human. At home, I settle down nicely after some activity and enjoy quiet time by your side. I’m house-trained, comfortable with both outdoor potty routines and indoor pads, making me adaptable to various living arrangements.   Special Notes I’m a resilient, affectionate dog who’s overcome challenges with grace and a wagging tail. Story
5 yo Axel and his sister Canada were rescued by their foster mom from a backyard breeder, and it was clear that they have gone through a lot in life. They are now looking for their forever home, where they can chase each other and play in a fully fenced yard. Axel and Canada are very calm and quiet husky-malamute pups, weighing 60 lb. They are not socialized much, so we would like to find them a home with no other pets. Axel and Canada used to live in a crate 24 hours and used for breeding only. They came to us sad and depressed. They only had each other, therefore we are unwilling to separate them, as they really need each other after going through so much. They were going to be put down, as the landlord of the place where they live, is threatening to take them to the pound, and the neighbor threatens to poison them. But this is very Texas. Their foster mom lives in fear for that and we hope we can find them a great home. They both enjoy being outside and going on car rides. They know the leashes very well. They get very excited, so they will pull when walking them. They need a dog owner with active lifestyles and plenty of time. They know to shake before going into the house. They know their beds. They know to sit before taking a snack. They both enjoy being outside chewing on a rawhide-free toy under the sun. They do like sun-bathing. Canada is the female black and white Siberian Husky. She is about 60 lbs. She enjoys lower back scratches and being brushed. Canada likes to watch and stare at anything you do. She is a curious girl. She is still hesitant about humans. So please be easy and slow with her. She likes to start by smelling your hands. I guess that’s her way of knowing if their evil hands or good hands. She does not do well with children of all ages, just adults. She doesn’t mind meeting other dogs. Axel is the white malamute/husky mix. He is about 55 lbs, and he is a jolly boy. He will greet anyone with a big grin, a wagging tail, and the happy energy that only a husky can emanate. He will sit with his back against your two feet and wait for pets. He is smart. He knows the drill. Once you have a routine, he will get it quickly. He likes to get on furniture. His personality is lively. He is a toy hogger. He likes to have access to all the toys. He doesn’t like meeting other dogs, especially small breeds. He prefers to only play with his sister, Canada. He loves getting his belly rubbed. He enjoys cuddles, too. These two need positive reinforcement after what they have been through. They deserve a chance to live the other half of their lives being huskies. Canada and Axel both really have the best of hearts. They just need love. They are fully vetted, fixed and chipped. They would do good with anyone with previous husky experience. They are bonded, so they have to find a home where they can be adopted together. They are not tested with cats, and they do get excited upon seeing dogs. They are both heartworm negative and is kept on heartworm and flea preventative. The pups are being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. Their adoption fee and transport fee together is $500 To meet these gorgeous pups via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank You for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
**This dog is in a foster home in Saint Catherine. Apply to adopt at lastminutedogrescue.comKenji is the kind of dog who bonds deeply, follows you from room to room, and leans in like hes saying, Youre my person now.Hes loyal, affectionate, a little bit earnest, and quietly goofy in the way dogs are when they feel safe enough to be themselves. At about 7 years old and 50 lbs, Kenji is the perfect medium-sized companion. He loves fetch, enjoys 3045 minute walks, is great in the car, and has an excellent off-switch once hes had his daily outing, hes more than happy to curl up nearby and nap like a professional. He knows sit, politely waits for food, is house trained, and walks well on a martingale. He may occasionally pause mid-walk to request affection, but honestly, its part of his charm.Kenji is thoughtful and observant, not reckless with his heart. New situations, unfamiliar men, and first meetings with other dogs can make him feel unsure at first. With slow introductions, calm handling, and a few well-timed treats, he settles nicely and builds trust. Once he does, his affection is steady and sincere the kind that sticks.Kenjis sensitivity makes perfect sense when you know his story. Picked up as a stray in the southern U.S., he spent far too long in kennels before finally experiencing foster life and learning what it means to belong. Despite that, he has emerged gentle, loving, and deeply people-oriented proof of how resilient and special he truly is.Kenji will do best in a quiet, predictable home, ideally with women, and children over 8 who can respect boundaries. He is not cat-friendly and has a moderate prey drive. He can live with another calm, friendly or aloof dog, but does best with polite, low-drama canine companions.Kenji isnt a project dog.Hes a relationship dog one who needs patience, understanding, and time to feel safe. In return, he offers loyalty, devotion, and the rare joy of being chosen completely.Kenji is ready to come home. Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Taemin Age: 5 years old Gender: Male (Neutered)  Breed: Malamute mix  Color: Brown Weight: 25kg / 55lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list at a city pound, simply due to a lack of space. I’m not sure how I ended up there, but thanks to kind rescuers, I was given a second chance at life. Now that I’m safe and cared for, I’m ready to leave my past behind and find my forever family who will love me unconditionally.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a super sweet and gentle boy who loves people and is friendly with all my dog friends—especially the smaller ones, who I’m extra gentle with. I’m smart and eager to learn, and I already know how to “sit”! Photos and videos don’t quite capture it, but I’m even more handsome in real life. And don’t let my bigger body fool you—I’m easy to handle and absolutely love snuggles.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I’m super friendly with people and absolutely love meeting new friends! I happily soak up pets and attention, often folding my ears in half while enjoying all the love. I’m also comfortable being picked up and cuddled—extra bonus for snuggle time! · With Dogs: I’m super friendly with my dog friends and get along well with dogs of all sizes, including smaller pups—I’m always gentle with them. I can be a little over-excited when meeting new dogs at first (I just get so happy!), but I quickly settle down and become more mindful of my size. One of my favorite things to do is play with my care facility buddy—it’s the best fun! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.    ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a medium energy level and love spending time outdoors running around and enjoying fresh air. After I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to head indoors and snuggle up for some cozy, relaxing time.    TRAINING & HABITS  I don’t guard my food with people or other dogs and am generally a quiet, easygoing boy who rarely barks. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel, walk nicely while following my handler’s lead, and am comfortable pottyingboth indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever    SPECIAL NOTES  I’m a super sweet boy who truly deserves the absolute best! I’m incredibly friendly with both people and dogs, and I know that any family who welcomes me will feel so lucky to have me. Right now, I’m on a little diet to shed some extra weight, but it’s just helping me stay healthy and happy for all the love and adventures ahead!   Taemin's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2638268##

Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Gino Age: 8 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Chow Jindo mix  Color: Light brown Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued by kind-hearted rescuers who saw that I was living in very difficult conditions. I spent my early days confined in a tiny crate, but thanks to their compassion, I was given a second chance at life. Now I’m safe, learning what love and freedom feel like, and excited to start a bright new chapter with my forever family.    MY HEALTH  • Neutered & healthy with no known health issues • All vaccinations up-to-date    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a friendly boy who’s even cuter in person! While my estimated age is around 8 years old, I look and act much younger—I still have plenty of energy and love staying active. During my photoshoot, I couldn’t get enough cuddles and happily followed staff and volunteers everywhere, soaking up all the attention. Despite a rough and neglected past, my happy spirit and sparkle never faded, and I’m ready to share that joy with my forever family.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I may be a little shy at first, but treats and gentle affection help me warm up quickly! Once I feel comfortable, I’m happy to be picked up and enjoy soaking in all the love and reassurance. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dog friends, but I like to take my time before jumping into play. I’m more of an independent soul who enjoys doing my own thing, and I tend to feel most comfortable around dogs my size. I get along very well with my friends at the care facility and especially rely on my roommate buddy for comfort and confidence. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is still a bit of a mystery, but a cat test can be arranged to help find the best fit. On walks, I glance at cats with a little curiosity, but I quickly lose interest and happily continue on my way.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a lovely moderate energy level—I enjoy getting outside for fresh air and adventures, then happily curl up indoors for cozy snuggles and relaxation time.    TRAINING & HABITS  I’m learning my leash manners and, while I may pull a little at times, I do a great job following my handler’s lead overall. I can let out a bark when I’m asking for attention, but I’m generally a very quiet boy. In new environments, I may mark at first, but once I settle in, I quickly relax and show my calm, well-mannered side.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever    SPECIAL NOTES  I’m a resilient, affectionate boy who hasn’t let my past define me. While I may need a little time to settle into new environments, I warm up quickly with patience, treats, and gentle guidance. I thrive with kind humans, enjoy companionship, and will do best in a home that understands I just need a bit of time to feel safe. Once I do, I’ll reward you with loyalty, cuddles, and a happy presence by your side.   Gino's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2646753##
