Mika is a 7 month old Akita rescued from a puppy mill. She was unwanted due to being born with a malformation of her left front leg. That did not stop her from being your typical puppy. At the end of January, she had her leg amputated and she did great! She is getting around just fine, is very social and loves to play with the other dogs. Mika is now ready for her forever home, and is at the perfect age to work on training. Akita breed experience/knowledge required.

                                                                             KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Panda and his blood-brother Ghost are 3 year old male akitas, who were surrendered as a result of an animal cruelty/domestic violence case. They came to us incredibly underweight from being starved. They were covered in scars and wounds, they did not get along with each other and would fight, their injuries have been addressed. After everything they have been through, they are beyond sweet to their care takers and are loving all of the extra attention. Ghost and Panda are chilling at the Ranch in TX. He is food aggressive towards our other dogs and more leary of strangers coming into our home. Today, sadly, he went after one of our cats. He would be wonderful in a home with adults / older children and no other pets. He is up to date in all shots, potty trained, and well loved.

August is friendly and outgoing. She gets along with small dogs, some bigger dogs (she’s a bit more selective with larger breeds), and has spent time around children of all ages. She can be cat-tested if requested. August walks well on a leash, is house- and crate-trained, and knows multiple commands. Meet Sassy! Her name is a bit misleading because this girl is just downright sweet. Sassy is a 2-year-old, 51-pound, female husky who was surrendered to PK when her owners felt they could no longer meet her needs. Sassy is very gentle pup who is housetrained and knows a few commands. She was a good girl when left home alone. The big thing you need to know about Sassy is that she is an expert-level escape artist, and she loves to run! She escaped her prior owner’s fenced yard on many occasions. She will need a fully enclosed, secure yard with at least a 6-foot-high fence and an owner who is willing to always monitor when she is in the yard; or she will need to be taken out on a leash only. Anyone living with her will need to be extremely careful (e.g., not leaving doors or gates open). Sassy gets along with other dogs but has no experience with cats (we can cat-test her if requested).
