Story
Matrix is a four year old Akita. We have had her in our care before she was a year old. We are a family for 7 with a baby and we have alot to keep up with. want to make sure that the person who adopts her is serious and willing to give her the time attention and training she needs. I get her monthly bark box toys and treats and she loves that. She loves to play. Very loving and good with kids but not with other animals.

Story
Meet Queen! 👑🐾 Queen is an Akita who was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of her own. This beautiful girl truly lives up to her name. 👑 Queen has had some good dog meets here at the shelter, but she can be selective about her canine friends. With her human friends, Queen has shown us that she is sweet and a little submissive, especially as she gets comfortable with the people around her. ❤️ Queen is looking for a family who will give her the patience, love, and understanding she deserves. If you have another dog, please bring them to meet Queen 🐾 Videos 🎥: Petting Queen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fblIBiTej98 https://youtube.com/shorts/J7xRj5fUX5Y?si=bPJTjU44OELyKdz2 Playgroup 8/15: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLes8DKheeP2w Playgroup 8/16: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPFWBaqnaMWY Behavior Notes 📝: Per Volunteer 8/21/2026: Was laying on her bed when I approached and she came up right to the front. I very easily leashed her and she hopped right out of the kennel. On leash she has very nice walking skills with barely any pulling. She’s very in tune with my leash pressure. No interest in treats outside. In the play yard, she came up to me and sniffed my hands with a neutral body and a light wagging tail, then spent most of the time sniffing the smells outside. Took pets from me with a loose body and very easy-going overall. Saw a dog through the fence and gave tail wags with a loose body. She went back into her kennel without any issues. She could be leveled down to gold if behavior continues positively Per staff 08/16/2026: Steer test: 3/5 with water and 2/5 with can Good gate greetings, mid tail and sot eyes. When greetng with daisy, Queens body tensed hackles raised. Steered away by staff. Then She went up to Sandy with the same body language then began to snarl. Steered away from Sandy by staff and removed from the yard. Per staff 08/15/2026: Kennel Presentation: standing at the door, soft features, then sat, easy to leash. Not taking treats. Leash Skills: tail down initially, raised more to neutral to get outside. Not taking treats. Sociability: her tail is so expressive- it goes up and down as she is seeing and hearing things in the environment. Moving between unsure and comfortable. When interacting with the handler that prompted the attention, she came in in a large arc motion, and then crouch to the ground, and submissively crawled to the handler with soft squinty eyes ears back tail low head dipped to the side. Not eating most treats outside, eventually ate cheese and fresh pet. Play: no interest in the ball, perked up to a squeaky toy, chased then ignored Dog Interaction: fence meet with Bando, loose and curious https://youtube.com/shorts/PLlQ0tPlfZA?si=I8pWDJb25ZLbKbJz Return to Kennel: easy Color Level: exp gold Recommendations and considerations: ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. 💔 DESPERATE PLEA – SENIORS NEED A MIRACLE TOGETHER 💔 These two 7-year-old bonded seniors have lost everything. They spent their entire lives together with the only family they ever knew—until their owner passed away. Now, they are dumped, confused, and facing an uncertain future, through no fault of their own. They are sweet, gentle dogs who rely on each other for comfort and safety. Separating them would be heartbreaking—they are all each other has left. Important details: • Must be adopted together • No other pets in the home • Both are loving, calm, and well-mannered • Seniors who deserve peace, not another loss These dogs do not belong in a shelter. They deserve a quiet home, a soft place to land, and someone willing to give them dignity after such a tragic loss. 🙏 Please—be their miracle. PLEASE HELP TEXT KAREN 4136298152
