Meet Hero (Formerly Major)! 🐺❤️
A lovable, energetic Husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart!
Meet Hero, a handsome approximately 10-month-old Siberian Husky who is ready to find the active, committed forever family he deserves!
Hero originally entered Cactus Ranch Rescue as a young puppy and was adopted into a home. Unfortunately, he recently returned to our care and is once again searching for his perfect match.
Hero is an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy with a fun-loving personality and all the enthusiasm you would expect from a young Husky. He absolutely adores people and enjoys being involved in whatever his humans are doing.
He’s also a smart young man who already knows several basic commands, including sit, stay, lie down, and turn around! His willingness to learn and engage with people makes him an excellent candidate for continued obedience training and enrichment activities.
Hero walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore. However, like many Huskies, he has plenty of energy and will need daily physical activity, mental stimulation, and an owner who understands the breed’s unique characteristics.
One important thing to know about Hero is that he is not particularly fond of being kenneled. His future family should be willing to work patiently on crate-related training if needed and provide appropriate management and safe alternatives.

Hero’s Ideal Home
Hero will thrive with an active family experienced with, or willing to learn about, the unique needs of Siberian Huskies.
His ideal home will provide consistent exercise, mental enrichment, positive reinforcement training, and opportunities to participate in family activities.
A securely fenced yard is highly recommended, along with careful management of doors, gates, and outdoor activities, as Huskies are known for their adventurous nature.
Hero is still an adolescent dog, which means he is continuing to mature and develop. He needs a family that understands the importance of structure, consistency, and patience while helping him become the best version of himself.
Most importantly, Hero needs a family prepared to make a lifelong commitment. He has already experienced the uncertainty of losing a home, and we want his next adoption to be his last.
Hero has all the potential to be an extraordinary companion for the right household. He’s smart, loving, entertaining, and full of life.
