Story
Cubby is a beautiful purebred female American Akita. She is good with family but her personality requires a more quiet routined home life than ours has become, with no other pets. She does well at the vet, groomers, in the car, and with her own people. She does NOT do well with other pets especially female dogs…a strong characteristic of the Akita so if you have other pets or a busy household with children please don’t apply . Our household circumstances changed and we cant provide the routine and the quiet lifestyle this beautiful dog will thrive in. She becomes anxious with a lot of busyness in the household . We’ve had Akitas in the past who were calmer and able to adjust but at nearly a year old she isn’t showing signs of that.She requires a lot of exercise and is strong and smart.If interested in Cubby please thoroughly research the breed and understand we are rehoming her to the person who can best provide the lifestyle described, so she can live out her life happily and calmly.

Story
Zuma is a sweet, loving girl who has been around both children and other animals. She’s playful, enjoys her walks, and has been an amazing part of our lives. Unfortunately, due to an upcoming move, we’re unable to take her with us, so we’re looking for the right new home where she can continue to thrive. Zuma would do best with experienced dog owners or in a home without other dogs, as she has shown some resource guarding behaviors in the past. That said, she has successfully bonded with a dog in our home. This is a very difficult decision for us, and we’re committed to finding Zuma a safe, loving environment where she’ll be happy and well cared for.
