Story
We hear it our whole lives - "Just be yourself!" Well, we truly believe dogs should be afforded that same opportunity, shouldn't they? Peanut really is one-of-a-kind, but that also means he's a once-in-a-lifetime dog. We're hoping to find a home that will allow Peanut to be the magical, majestic, floofy unicorn he is. So, what does that mean exactly? - Peanut LOVES to be outside, no matter if it's snowing or raining or probably even tornado-ing. That's why he has his own private kennel area here, with a heated bedroom, enclosed sunroom and 24-hour access yard. No jacuzzi yet, but we're working on it. - Peanut isn't what we'd call a super "cuddly" dog. He shows love and affection in his own way, and he has so much of it to give! Maybe in a home, he might feel more comfortable and become a big cuddle bear, but it's something we can't guarantee. - Like all dogs (and people), Peanut has his likes and dislikes. For example, Peanut hates his fur being picked at. Yes, sometimes that means leaving the loose tufts, burrs and whatever else sticks in his mane. It's our hope a home could work with him further on that, but that it's not a dealbreaker if he never comes around. - Peanut is a big boy. Photos truly never do him justice. He's about 100 pounds, and his head is massive. That means he needs lots of space (both inside and out), so he's not really made for an apartment. - Peanut is a HAPPY boy. Even here, Peanut is rarely not smiling or excited to see people. In fact, he loves people. He also loves treats and is so gentle taking them. All he really wants is someone who "gets" him.
