Charlie is a 10-year-old large dude who has mastered the art of being a roommate. He’s healthy and active, but his main goal is finding a comfortable spot to hang out. He isn't "slowing down" due to age; he’s just always been a relaxed guy. Personality: Charlie is well-behaved, house-trained, and crate-trained. He has lived with kids and cats without issues. He has a funny "grumpy" streak: if the house gets too loud, he’ll give a single bark to let you know he’s annoyed and walk away to find a quieter room. He isn't aggressive; he just values his peace. Activity & Health: He loves walks (especially in the cold) and short bursts of fetch or tug-of-war. He takes daily joint vitamins; he occasionally overdoes it and limps for a day, but recovers quickly. On walks, he gets very excited when he sees other dogs. He’s a big, strong guy, so he needs a handler comfortable steering an excited dog on a leash. If you want a loyal friend who is past the puppy drama, Charlie is perfect.

Meet Zazu, an Alaskan Malamute mix with the joyful energy of a snowstorm wearing legs and absolutely no plans to use them responsibly.Zazu is still learning how to dog, but he is approaching the assignment with enthusiasm, confusion, and the confidence of someone who definitely did not read the instructions. He is silly, bouncy, playful, and occasionally gives off the impression that his brain has seventeen tabs open and one of them is playing circus music.This fun-loving guy needs a home that can keep up with his big personality and give him plenty of outlets for his energy before he starts inventing his own hobbies, which may include parkour, interpretive zoomies, and communicating exclusively through dramatic body wiggles. Zazu is still working on his basic manners, so he will do best with someone patient, consistent, and structured—preferably someone who can say “sit” with conviction while trying not to laugh. He is smart and eager to learn; he just needs a little polish, like a majestic northern diamond who currently believes personal space is a rumor started by cats.Zazu has done well with female dogs, so he may enjoy a canine friend who appreciates his playful style and does not mind living with a very handsome tornado in a fur coat. Slow, thoughtful introductions are always best, especially when one party arrives to the first meeting with “camp counselor on espresso” energy.Great news: Zazu has completed his heartworm treatment and is officially ready to find his forever home.
