Story
Hello, my name is Queenie the cuddle bug, and I am a 3year old mixed breed dog. I am up to date on all of my shots, but I am not spayed. I love to be around people and other dogs. I am a little unsure about some people but once I get to know you, we are the best of friends. I would love a backyard to be able to run around in and chase squirrels. I would also love a brother or sister dog as I get really excited being around other dogs. I do not really like kibble, so I usually eat cooked chicken or raw beef with vegetables and rice.

Freeway is the silliest, most loving and attentive friend you could ever have! She adores all people, long walks, chew bones, and toys. She beams with delight riding in the car to get a pup cup. This beauty queen is also the perfect hiking partner and afterward will save you a spot on the couch for cuddles. Freeway is about 40 pounds, house/crate trained. Spencer is a  3 year old Bulldog/Lab mix weighing 75 pounds .  He is housetrained.   We feel Spencer would be best in a  home where he will not be faced with frequent visitors or traffic in the home, He is a lovely companion, extremely loyal, has never shown aggression of any sort towards the current owners and their kids. Spencer is special needs because he has been diagnosed with Addison's disease (controlled with medication) and has behavioral issues.  (posted 6/19/23 R) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience.   Adoption and transport fees: $250 April 28, 2024, 11:37 pm

Story
Delilah May is an adorable, six month old, Boxer puppy mix. She is about 40 lbs and all legs! She has big Boxer energy and loves to play fetch, go on walks, and is a great running partner (She's been clocked at an 8 minute mile!). She is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. She would love a larger doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep her from getting bored. Delilah is very much a puppy and could accidentally knock over young children and smaller dogs with her playfulness. Children over 10 years old preferred. Delilah is house trained and crate trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this adorable bundle of joy and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Delilah is located in Huntsville, AL. With transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members. Brenda

Story
Meet Aubie 💙 Aubie is a 10 year old Boxer mix. He had a wonderful home where he was spoiled and loved up until a few months ago and then his world fell apart 😔. Aubie’s owner got very sick and could no longer care for himself or Aubie. Aubie was placed at a local vet clinic for several months in hopes that someday he could return home to his person and the life he had always known but unfortunately that is not going to be possible due to the fact that his previous owner has had to have more surgery and has sadly lost his ability to walk. So now Aubie is looking for a new home where he has never has to worry about the future and he can just focus on being the good boy that he is. Aubie is crate and house trained and would do great in a settled home where he still gets to be active. We think a home with an active person or couple or one with older children would be great for Aubie. He is okay with other dogs but is not really interested in being a doggie friend. Aubie just wants a person to hang with and to play ball non stop 🎾. He is very active for his age so a fenced yard for him to run around in is a high priority especially since he loves to spend time outside. This boy has been through so much recently, we are praying his new family will see this post and give him the opportunity to live out his life in the way he deserves being loved and cared for by his new hero. ❤️
