Story
Chopper is a 2.5 year old American Bulldog mix. This big, fat-headed, goofy boy has so much love to give to anyone willing to fall in love with him! We do not know if Chopper has lived with other dogs, but he usually gets along with most of the dogs in the cages beside him. Chopper gives big, sloppy kisses and loves to cuddle! This big boy is about 80 lbs of pure love and affection. We think Chopper would love to find a home where he can enjoy both a big yard and a comfy couch! While we think Chopper would probably love children, he does not realize his size and would probably knock small children down by accident. Chopper loves to wag his tail but be careful, he will get so excited that he slaps you with it!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.July 25, 2024, 6:30 pm

Story
Pear is a medium-sized two year old, female Bulldog mix. She is a very sweet gentle girl, who is fairly laid back and well-mannered. Sadly, she is often overlooked in her cage because she is so well-behaved. Pear has done well in play groups with 2-3 other dogs in the park, as long as the other dogs are fairly laid back like her. Almost like an older dog, Pear does not like play groups with hyper over-excited dogs (many of us can probably relate to that!). Pear is also very good on a leash, and she makes for a very enjoyable walking companion. She is treat-motivated, and has quickly learned Sit because of that. All that is missing is for Pear to find her person(s), where she would be a cherished family member in her furever home. Story
Diana is a 1 year old female Bulldog/Lab mix, who came to the shelter with her brother Clark. Both currently live in the same pen together, and while they clearly like each other, they can be adopted separately or together. Diana is initially a little shy, and is happy to let her brother check out new people first. But once she knows you, she adores you and will rush forward to greet you with her precious smile!  Diana is a very sweet lovey-dovey girl, who enjoys cuddles and belly rubs. Her soulful eyes are so hard to resist, and will steal your heart! Diana and Clark are entertaining when they start playing together, and they will often gently wrestle with each other before stopping for a rest. Diana also enjoys going on walks, or simply hanging out with you. Overall, Diana is dreaming of a loving home, where she can be a cherished member of the family. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Clark is a 1 year old male Bulldog/Lab mix, who came to the shelter with his sister Diana. Both currently live in the same pen together, and while they clearly like each other, they can be adopted separately or together. Clark seems to be the more outgoing of the two, and is the first to greet anyone coming to spend time with them. He is very friendly and loving, and likes staying close to you, just so that you don’t forget about him. Clark and Diana are very entertaining when they start playing together, and they will often gently wrestle with each other before stopping to rest together in the shade. Clark also enjoys going on walks and taking short dips in the kiddie pool. He is a fun-loving and very sweet boy, who is ready to find his person(s) and love them with all his heart! She does great with other dogs, but will need to go to a home with no children. If you would like to discuss Sweet Pea’s unique situation, please fill out an application so one of our team members can reach out. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. She would love nothing more than to have a cozy bed to call her own.
