Story
Quintessa is an almost 2 year old Boxer mix who very loving and also energetic! This lovely lady is as sweet as she is beautiful. She loves people and has come a long way since she first arrived! When Quintessa first joined us, she was terrified of her own shadow and didn't want to interact with anyone. After some time, she began to come out of her shell and man does she enjoy life now! She is the queen of fetch at the shelter and would play all day if she could. After a game of fetch she has a precious way of sprawling across the floor to cool down after all of that exercise. Quintessa is usually so happy to get out of her kennel that she has a tendency to pull on the leash; but that is easily solved by using a harness since she walks very well when wearing one. Quintessa seems to be ok with most dogs, usually just checking them out briefly through the chain link fence before moving on, but a meet-n-greet is always suggested! She is usually indifferent to the few resident feral cats, although she is interested if they run past her quickly. Quintessa is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky lady who just needs to find her shot at furever! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Story
Josie is a 3.5 year old Boxer mix who is just a doll! Some of you may remember Josie, she was a long time resident who was adopted back in December of 2023. Actually, she was adopted right around her one year mark at the shelter! The staff was so excited to see Josie get a home right before Christmas! But unfortunately, a few months later Josie was found roaming the streets again. Attempts were made to contact her adopters, but with no luck. Josie is back up for adoption and this time, we just know she will find her true furever home! Josie loves people and gives all of the love to anyone who will accept it! She enjoys nice walks in the park and sometimes takes the time to stop and smell the flowers. We do not think Josie would do well with cats but we are unsure about dogs. A meet-n-greet is always suggested with any other dogs in the home. When Josie returned, we discovered she was heartworm positive. If she is adopted before she is able to receive treatment, her adopters will sign a contract stating to bring her back for that treatment. More information on heartworm treatment can be given by the staff if you are interested in adopting.  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Hi I’m Boogie and my butt wiggles just as you say my name! I’m currently with my wonderful foster family decompressing from almost a year in the shelter with my foster brother who is a German Shepard that loves to run! I love to run and play ball too!! A little bit about me: I LOVE chewing on toys and bones and can keep myself entertained for hours with a good chew toy.. I’ve never been one for chewing something not given to me. I’m crazy about playing fetch, try me! Ive been in the shelter in a cage for a long time so I'm learning potty training but I'm catching on super fast! You can’t give me enough lovings because I have no bubble!! Despite my past, I am the happiest pup and will be happy with anyone who will give me a loving home. I LOVE people and will lean into you for loves and I just discovered I love watching TV with my foster mommy. Come meet me! Boogie had several dog meets and loves other dogs but we suggest doing a meet with your dog if you already have one to make sure they are a good match!

Story
Stella may be a little in her shell when you first meet, but she is readily won over with food and soon shows you her fun side! She is a playful girl who has some energy to burn, but she'll help you out - she likes to take the leash and walk herself! This smarty is treat-motivated and would be fun to teach tricks. She shows signs of being housetrained and has been friendly with males dogs (only). Stella would do best with a solid fence, as she likes to protect her property - but only behind a fence for extra courage!   ~  Est DOB:  Sep 2021 ~  Intake Weight:  45# (thin)~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJune 16, 2024, 3:37 pm

Bonnie is a playful girl who loves fetch and other dogs. Once she has bonded with you, she will also love hanging out on the couch.
