Story
After 5 minutes of typical first-time bark park exploration, Ruby Sue began to show her true spirit of adventure as she tracked down a multi-headed, fluorescently colored squeaky and gave it the ride of its life. Her joyful frolic was a delight to observe as she directed her attention to a variety of lucky bark park toys. Ruby Sue was joined in the escapade by Orville, a fluffy, friendly canine who shares a kennel with her. Both of these sociable seven-year-old “pups” had been previously adopted from our Humane Society into the same loving home. They have rejoined us now as their human had to enter a nursing home and couldn’t continue to care for them. Ruby Sue is an amazingly vigorous and fun-filled canine who loved to give herself a back scratch by rolling over with an enthusiastic wiggle and a “this is great fun” smile. It was the first time she had met the human but she showed such respect and appreciation that it was as though they had known each other for a long time. Her underbite accentuated smiles and her desire to be close will warm your heart.

Story
Meet Black Eyed Susan 25C-201 As the human approached her kennel, Black Eyed Susan looked up with a happy, hopeful expression and an animated full body wag that extended all the way to the tip of her question mark tail. When the pair started their bark park adventure, two-year-old Black Eyed Susan stood amazingly still as the colorful scarf was placed caringly around her neck. Black Eyed Susan loves being close to her human and as she performed the usual park tour, she often returned and shared a caring announcement with a gentle touch of her nose. Then the entertainment really started as she discovered the doggy wading pool that she wished was much bigger and deeper as she swished, splashed, swooshed, and whooshed with a froth filled totally joyful abandon, doing her best to extend the wetness to include the enthralled human who happened to be standing way to close, but it was a hot day and well worth the drenching. Black Eyed Susan is a very personable, fun-loving canine who shares her positive spirit with other dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds. Join this Rudbeckia hirta in the celebration of life. She is waiting for you at the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR.

Story
Jazzy is just over a year old. We rescued her at about 6 weeks old. She is cute, eneregetic, loving, playful, and a very happy dog! Though, she isn't the smartest. It absolutely breaks our heart to have to rehome her! Both her and our other dog, Simone, are female Pit Boxer mixes. Now that Jazzy has reached maturity she is showing signs of female-female aggression towards Simone. Simone has anxiety, and after Jazzy has challenged her a few times, she's already fearful of her. So, if you have another female dog, especially if it's a bully breed, Jazzy is probably not a good fit. However, if you don't, she would make the most fun and loving addition to your family! She is high energy, and very playful, so she needs plenty of room to play and run. We'll do a meet and greet to see how you two are together. We have her kennel, a brand new bed, dog bowls, dog food container, and leash that we would include with her to make the transition as easy as posssible for both of you.

Story
In the world of Raising Kanan, loyalty is everything, respect is earned, and not everyone is built for the life. Meet Cainin, a 4-year-old Dogo Argentino and American Bulldog mix weighing in at about 100 pounds of muscle, charm, and personality. Just like the characters on the show, Cainin is complex. He has a big presence and an even bigger heart for his people. He absolutely loves humans and believes every person he meets is a potential new friend. If you're looking for a dog that will happily greet you and be your loyal sidekick, Cainin is your guy. But let's keep it real every king has his rules. No cats. No other dogs. Cainin used to enjoy trips to the dog park, but somewhere along the way, he decided he'd rather be the only four-legged boss in town. Because of this, he needs a home where he can be the one and only pet, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. At about 100 pounds, Cainin isn't for the faint of heart. He'll need a strong, confident owner who can handle a big, powerful dog and provide him with structure and guidance. The good news? This big guy is a total gentleman at the groomers. Bath? Nail trim? Spa day? No problem. Cainin handles it like a pro. Extremely people friendly Loves attention and companionship Great at the groomers Crate trained Housebroken Needs to be the only pet in the home Requires a strong, experienced owner Cainin comes: Neutered Vaccinated Dewormed On flea and tick prevention Microchipped Rescue adoption fee: $65 In Raising Kanan, family means everything. Cainin is still waiting for his family the one that will understand him, respect his boundaries, and give him the loyal, loving home he deserves. Because every king deserves his kingdom... and Cainin is ready to rule yours. Story
Emmett is a handsome boy! His dob is 06/20/2017 and he's a brown and black Belgian Shepherd Malinois/American Bulldog mix. He was brought to us when his owners could no longer care for him. He has spent most of his life as a mostly-outdoor dog with other dogs, in a home where he suffered from a lot of separation anxiety. Unfortunately for Emmett, his people in the past have failed him. Emmett needs a person that's going to do right by him! He is motivated by affection and toys, but is very picky about his treats. He can be a little mischievous and likes to see what he can get away with, so he needs a firm leader who can spend a lot of time working with him. We have seen that he learns quickly with basic training. We think he could also learn by example with some well-mannered dog siblings. It has been observed that he rarely barks but he does loves to talk, but if he barks it's quiet and sort of raspy. Emmett is often found observing things going on around him. He does not get along with cats, chickens, or other small animals, as he has a decent amount of prey drive. He loves to follow his favorite people around and get scratches, being brushed, playing in water, and his favorite game is wrestling. He does seem to be house-trained, and does fine for short periods of time in a large kennel. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.
