Story
Zaza is 5 years old and we got her at 14 weeks old. She looks means but is a true sweetheart. She is a very loving and clingy dog! Never want to leave your side. Very energetic and likes long walks. Loves playing with kids but can be a bit rough at times. My son plays football with her lol. For her forever new home I would prefer experience handlers who would have the time and proper care for her.

Story
Meet Wishbone – Your One True Wish Come True 🦴✨ Looking for a loyal best friend with a goofy grin, gentle soul, and a heart full of love? Meet Wishbone, a 3-year-old, 50-pound sweetheart who’s ready to grant your biggest wish: unconditional love. This charming boy is the perfect blend of calm and playful. He’s low-to-medium energy, so he's just as happy snuggling on the couch as he is chasing a ball in the backyard. Fetch? Yes, please! Belly rubs? Even better. Wishbone is a people pleaser who’s mastered the art of good behavior — he’s crate trained, walks like a dream on leash, knows a few commands, and remembers not to jump (most of the time). He’s incredibly smart, treat-motivated, and has a soft spot for cuddles and praise. He’s great with other friendly, playful dogs and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can romp around and stretch those legs. While he’s very gentle, his size means a home without small children is best. Wishbone would be a wonderful fit for many lifestyles — whether you're a solo adventurer or a family with a doggy playmate. All he wants is someone to love, a few toys to chase, and a warm spot beside you. Wish granted. Love returned. Adopt Wishbone. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ADOPTION DISCLAIMER: At Perfectly Paired Pitties (P3), we aim to provide accurate information about all of our animals to the best of our abilities. Story
Meet Koolaid— Koolaid (Kooly) is truly one of a kind. His striking Blue Merle coat and gentle presence make him a dog people naturally gravitate toward. He is affectionate, playful, and deeply connected to his humans. Why everyone falls for Kooly: 1. He loves to give gifts. Whether it is his favorite toy or a couch pillow he proudly offers, Kooly loves greeting his people with full-body tail wags and something special in his mouth just for you. 2. He is a cuddle-bug. Kooly thinks he is a lap dog at heart. He loves curling up close, resting his head on you, and using a polite paw tap to ask for more attention. His eyes are incredibly expressive with warm brown and soft flecks of blue. 3. He is smart, attentive, and loves being included. Kooly stays right by your side and wants to be part of your routine. He knows many commands (sit, lay down, shake, stay, come, leave it, take it, up, down, and crate) and is fully house-trained. He is good on leash overall and may get a little excited when he sees another dog he wants to greet. Kooly currently lives with two adults and a friendly medium-large dog. He has met kids and toddlers on walks and does well. Kooly would do great as the only dog or with a confident dog friend over about 40 lbs. His foster family is helping him continue to build confidence, and he has done well at farmers markets, outdoor events, and meeting new people. Kooly loves walks, toys, zoomies, and relaxing with his people. He is a dog who draws compliments everywhere he goes. Neighbors and strangers alike stop to say hello and comment on how handsome and sweet he is. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who wants to be your sidekick in life, Koolaid is your boy. Apply to foster OR adopt today and help this sweet boy get the second chance he deserves! Story
Bjorn is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Bjorn (aka Toby Bear) is a playful puppy who has a big heart and is ready to give a forever family all his love. His favorite things are chewing sticks and bully bones, going for long walks and cuddling up close under a blanket to watch TV. He is in search of a loving parent who can spend lots of quality time with him . He’s learning to be more confident on his own, as well as with other humans and dogs. He’s come a long way since we first started fostering him healing both medically from bad skin infections and emotionally from the toll of being left at the shelter. Each day he improves as his confidence grows and he learns that he’s only going to be with people who love him from here on out. Could that be you? ATTRIBUTES: Bjorn has done well with other dogs. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
~5 1/2 years old, 70 pounds Personality: snuggler, playful, easygoing, outgoing, loyal, energetic, affectionate, adventurous, mischievous, and adaptable. Meet Rocco - a guy who will (a) never say no to a walk, (b) happily greets people (c) is good with kids, and (d) shockingly enjoys spending time in his den/crate when you aren't around! When we say we aren't sure why Rocco hasn't been adopted after being with us for over a year, we really mean it! Rocco is truly a wonderful canine companion. One thing we love most about Rocco is his adaptable nature. He is happy to match your energy level, whether you're seeking a playful companion or a laid-back snuggle buddy. Time for a walk or play session - he's down to clown. Wanna snuggle up and watch a Rom-Com? He's all yours. Did I mention he's great with kids? That really cannot be overlooked! In addition to Rocco being house trained and crate trained, he already knows the words "off," “no,” "sit," and "crate". Rocco loves his chew toys, will love walks with you, and wants nothing more than to finally settle into his forever family. While Rocco has canine friends (from a Great Dane to a Toy Poodle) he has been known to be a little choosy with dogs, so our volunteers will work closely with potential adopters to help match him with a canine pal. If you're ready to meet your best friend, he just might be the match for you. Apply today to meet Rocco! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC.
