Meet Koolaid— Koolaid (Kooly) is truly one of a kind. His striking Blue Merle coat and gentle presence make him a dog people naturally gravitate toward. He is affectionate, playful, and deeply connected to his humans. Why everyone falls for Kooly: 1. He loves to give gifts. Whether it is his favorite toy or a couch pillow he proudly offers, Kooly loves greeting his people with full-body tail wags and something special in his mouth just for you. 2. He is a cuddle-bug. Kooly thinks he is a lap dog at heart. He loves curling up close, resting his head on you, and using a polite paw tap to ask for more attention. His eyes are incredibly expressive with warm brown and soft flecks of blue. 3. He is smart, attentive, and loves being included. Kooly stays right by your side and wants to be part of your routine. He knows many commands (sit, lay down, shake, stay, come, leave it, take it, up, down, and crate) and is fully house-trained. He is good on leash overall and may get a little excited when he sees another dog he wants to greet. Kooly currently lives with two adults and a friendly medium-large dog. He has met kids and toddlers on walks and does well. Kooly would do great as the only dog or with a confident dog friend over about 40 lbs. His foster family is helping him continue to build confidence, and he has done well at farmers markets, outdoor events, and meeting new people. Zaza is 5 years old and we got her at 14 weeks old. She looks means but is a true sweetheart. She is a very loving and clingy dog! Never want to leave your side. Very energetic and likes long walks. Loves playing with kids but can be a bit rough at times. My son plays football with her lol. For her forever new home I would prefer experience handlers who would have the time and proper care for her.

Willow is 2 years old she is a house dog. She’s needs a person who is willing to give her attention and a lot of time. She’s a very sweet girl she needs a home were people have the time and patience for her because of my family’s schedule and living we aren’t able to give her the time and attention that she needs. She does bark at people because she’s not used to being around a lot of people but if they try to pet her she’s gets scared and runs back in her cage. Willow can be very vocal if she wants something. She also very alert and will know someone’s arrived at our home before we know. She does need leash training. I can say she needs a little bit of training me and my family aren’t able to afford that right now for and we really want to find her a home so that she able to be happy.

Seriously, if you look up loyal in the dictionary, Ill be there. Well, okay, not actually. But I could be! Even though I have a certain love for my person, Im a friendly lady with other people too! I like to make friends on walks and at the park. I love to play with other dogs, and have a great time at daycare while my foster mom is working. Im also crate trained, and good about staying home alone if it isnt a daycare day. I love snacks and toys, and as queen of the house, I believe that I should have as many of both as I want! Im sure my future subjectser, family, will agree. Im a smart cookie, and Ive already learned a bunch of new tricks since coming to D.C. I know sit, stay, off, and leave it. Stella is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Stella is one of the most low maintenance fosters I've ever had the pleasure of helping find a forever home. From being a shy, scared, and timid girl to being confident, secure, and well-mannered, Stella has grown so much in the 2+ years I've known her; although the vacuum cleaner is still enemy #1. Stella has lived in all types of settings: in a busy city, in an apartment, on a quiet street, with dogs, with reactive dogs, and easily adapted to her home environment. She is crate trained and LOVES having a bed in her crate to curl up into a donut while you're at work. She knows every basic command like sit, down, touch, stay and is fully potty trained. Stella's favorite toy is a lambie, or something else that is tiny that she can carry around in her mouth. Once, she took care of an egg for 6 hours before it broke, she's the most gentle creature. Stella is made of love and French fries. There's nothing more that she wants than to be inside with her people, cuddled up on the couch with a show, or playing sous chef in a calm kitchen. She takes awhile to warm up to her people, but with some french fires (her favorite is Burger King), some space, and a bit of patience, she'll love you unconditionally and will likely knock you over from wagging her tail and wiggling so hard with excitement every time she sees you. Although Stella is a perfect girl in the home, on leash, and with other dogs, she is scared of human strangers, especially masculine presenting people, and will need a strong advocate to help keep her safe. If you're looking for a great addition to your calm and cozy life with unconditional love to give, Stella is the gal for you. Stella would do best living with queer folks, a home without cis-gendered men, without cats, and without small children. ATTRIBUTES: Stella has lived in foster with other dogs, but can not go to a home with kids, cats, or cis-gendered men. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained.
