Good with: Dogs, kids Not tested with: Cats House trained: No Energy level: Medium Noise level: Quiet Hi there! Im Patty, and Im the sweetest little shadow youll ever meet. I love being close to my people, so youll usually find me right by your side, following you from room to room. Im a little shy at first, but once I warm up, Im all about cuddles and affection. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and I especially love women. Ive got a medium energy level, so Im up for walksboth long and shortbut I also enjoy my downtime, napping in a cozy spot near you. Im still learning the ropes when it comes to training, but Im a quick learner and eager to please. I can be a bit skittish with loud noises and sometimes get nervous around new people, but with a little patience, Ill come around. I would make a fantastic family dog! Im so good with my foster parents one-year-old, and I dont mind his constant cuddling and pets at all. I even love sitting with everyone in the nursery when its time to put him down at night, and I never want to leave the room when its bedtime. Im super gentle with little kids and would really enjoy being part of a family. Im all about love and being a loyal companion! Id love to find a forever home where someone is home oftenIm happiest when Im with my people. I get along great with other dogs, so Id do well with a furry friend to help me settle in, but I can also be the only dog as long as I get plenty of love and attention. If youre looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, I might just be the perfect fit for you! My foster guardian says: "She is such a Velcro dog! She follows me everywhere." Likes: Walks! My ideal home:I'd love another dog friend in the home, although it's not a necessity. Story
Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Mostly with an occasional accident Energy level: Medium Noise level: Somewhat: barks at noises/when someone is at the door Hi, Im Tiana! Im a super friendly and playful pup who always wants to be where the action is. I love hanging out with my foster familyplaying with them during the day and then snoozing with them after weve had a fun time. I also love my foster dog brothers and sister; we have the best time together! I have a medium energy level, so Im up for walks, running, and zoomies, but I also enjoy chilling out and napping after a good play session. My favorite activities include playing with toys, going on long and short walks, and running around the yard. If youve got a backyard, thats a bonusI love being outside, especially with other dogs. Ill admit, Im still learning some manners. I know how to sit and come when called, but Im working on house training. If you take me outside regularly, I do well, but sometimes I have an accident. I could also use some additional leash training, but I'm getting better every day with positive reinforcement! Im great with other dogs, but I havent met any kids or cats yet. If youre looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal companion, Im your girl! My foster guardian says: She is the sweetest little baby and loves her foster dog brothers and sister. Likes: Walks, runs, zoomies, toys My ideal home: My ideal home would have a yard for me to run around in, and Id love to have a doggy companion, but Id also be happy being the only dog. Id do best with someone who works from home or is around often so I can stay close to my favorite people. Story
Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Energetic Bulldog Babe Ready for Fun and Cuddles BLUEBELL NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Bluebell         Best Guess for Breed:  Bulldog and terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  5 years 9 months as of Sept 2024         SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 33 lbs   Gets Along With:    Bluebell gets along with other dogs, but she likes to be in charge so would do best as the only dog or in a home with a submissive resident dog that's Bluebell's size or larger. Bluebell is not a fit for homes with kids under 12 years of age due to her strength.    We have tested Bluebell with some of the cats at the shelter, and he/she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that she could live with a cat, he/she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!   Currently Living at:  DC area boarding facility (She needs a foster to stay with until she finds her forever home!)   Special adoption considerations: Because of her breed, Bluebell must be walked using a harness and she cannot be out in the heat too long or she will have difficulty breathing.    About Bluebell:  Bluebell is a curious, smart girl who’s looking for a family that will share in her joy for life. She's been working hard on her obedience and comes with sponsored training sessions at Atlas Dog House so her future adopters can help Bluebell be her best self and put her sharp mind to use!   Will you be the one to give this spirited bulldog babe the love and adventures she deserves?  A Spirited Lady Bluebell may be nearly 6 years old, but she’s still full of energy and enthusiasm for life! This sweet bulldog loves nothing more than spending time with her people, whether it’s joining you on an adventure, enjoying a treat, or curling up on the couch for some cozy snuggles. Playful and Active Despite her age, Bluebell loves playtime and thrives on multiple short walks throughout the day to burn off her energy. She’s a curious and smart girl who has worked hard to improve her leash manners, and she’s come a long way. Just be mindful of her in warmer weather—she’ll need those breaks to avoid overheating. A True Queen When it comes to doggy playtime, Bluebell likes to be the boss. She’d do well as the only dog in the home or with doggy siblings who are submissive and her size or larger. Bluebell enjoys her social time but also appreciates a peaceful environment where she can reign as queen! Adoption Information Are you ready to welcome this fun-loving and sweet bulldog into your home? If you’re looking for a playful, energetic, and affectionate companion who loves adventure and cuddles, Bluebell is the perfect match! Fill out an adoption application: https://www.luckydoganimalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-process What My Foster Says About Me:   Bluebell is a sweet girl that wants to be around her people at all times! She enjoys treats and a good scratch to her ears and belly as well as cuddling up on the couch with her family when it's time to rest. She is a curious and energetic girl for being 5 years old. She loves playtime and multiple short walks throughout the day (so she doesn't overheat). She's worked hard on improving her leash manners but may still pull to investigate extra interesting things, likes squirrels or other dogs.   When it comes to doggy playtime, she likes to be the boss so submissive doggy siblings would be ideal for Bluebell.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Please contact Courtney Nobles (courtneyn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet older gent seeking happily ever after! CARL NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Carl        Best Guess for Breed:Bulldog and hound mix  Best Guess for Age:  7 years as of October 2024      Gender:Male Approximate Weight:45 lbs Gets Along With: Carl does well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with kids or cats but we can test him if you have them! Currently Living At: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here after completing heartworm treatment! Special Adoption Considerations: Carl is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Carl is Looking For: His forever home. This sweetie ended up in a shelter through no fault of his own - and he's closed that chapter. He's eager to once again have his own humans for long sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. Don't let that frosty face fool you - he's got plenty of zest!  A cushy dog bed, quality kibble, lots of snugs - yep, all on his wish list too. But as a wise, experienced dog, he knows what's most important in life: To be safe and loved and under his own roof. He's got so much to offer in exchange - adoring gazes and loyal companionship, definitely, but he also promises to make you smile every day. What do you say? Are you Carl's soft landing? Is he the one for your home and your heart? To learn more about Nugget, please get in touch with his foster at fetchinginn@gmail.com Hello, I'm Nugget! I love to play! I'll fetch and chase with all my toys, but I'm very responsible in the house and won't touch anything I shouldn't. I sometimes growl like a dragon when I get really playful, but just me talking, and I'm very gentle. I know all my basic commands, walk nicely on the leash, and eat all my approved doggie vegetables. I've had many doggie roommates and do well with non-dominant dogs once I get over my initial excitement of meeting them. I'm still a bit nervous around human strangers and do best with new people who approach me with care, but warm up once I get to know you - especially if you carry a piece of cheese in your hand! I hope to meet my forever playmates soon, who can help me feel secure and calm and be my best self!

Story
Gracie! It isn't every day you get a chance to adopt a dog this nice. This gorgeous playful recent mama is two years old and 65 pounds of bulldog-pittie perfection - it is abundantly clear somebody loved and trained her before she landed heavily pregnant at the shelter we pulled her from. For all of our bulldog/pittie anficionados out there, Gracie is simply as affectionate as they come - she LOVES her people and is longing for as much attention as you can give her. Gracie loves to play fetch, she is great with kids, she is good with cats and other dogs - and she will lean in hard for all of the pets and head-rubs you have to dispense. This gorgeous queen is 100% housebroken - she sits politely at the door when she needs to go out. She walks beautifully on a lead and knows (and respects) basic commands. And while she can live happily with a canine companion, she would be more than happy to soak up all of your attention as a one and only. All of this PLUS those eyebrows!! This is a very special girl who deserves a wonderful home - if that's with you, your girl is waiting! Grace is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Dugan! This gorgeous little boy with the Harry Potter forehead mark is one of the smaller pups of Gracie's 11 but he is growing fast! He loves his foster dad and cuddling, and he plays really nicely with his sisters. His foster says he is brave and gives lavish kisses, and is already starting to get the hang of leash walking. Just a really nice boy! Dugan and his siblings have been raised by their all-star mama Gracie and their loving foster parents from just 3 days old. They are happy, healthy, and well-socialized. They are growing fast and developing unique personalities; with a lineup of stunning colors and patterns, there's a standout player for everyone. Gracie, the MVP herself who's also looking for her forever family, and who Dugan resembles, weighs in at around 65 pounds. While the dad's stats are a mystery, we're betting these pups will grow to about the same size as their superstar mom - perfect! The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. Evelyn is one of Gracie's 11 pups named after A League of Their Own. This beautiful girl has a dark brindle symmetrical face mask that sets off her white coat perfectly - she is a looker! Evelyn is super confident and outgoing; she is really smart and a very fast learner. Evelyn loves the big dogs in her foster's home but she doesn't annoy them, and we think she would love a canine sibling. And like all of the pups, she is extremely affectionate with her humans. Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side.
