This gentle guy loves playing catch, tug-of-war, and romping with his doggy friends. He’s social, sweet, and always up for fun—just don’t ask him to swim. He prefers to dip his toes at the shore.Kronk is the definition of a good boy: quiet, affectionate, and wonderful with people of all ages—including kids. He doesn’t bark much, but he does love kisses and melts for ear rubs and back massages.As a senior, stairs can be tough on his joints, so a home with few or no stairs is ideal. He’s been doing great with daily joint supplements and Adequan injections to keep him feeling spry. He also has seasonal allergies, but they’re easy to manage with a vet’s help.Kronk recently had a dental (with a few extractions) and had some skin masses removed—one of which was a fully excised hemangiosarcoma, a non-aggressive skin cancer caused by sun exposure. Because of that, he’s hoping for a home where he won’t be left out in the sun too long. A little sunscreen on sunny days does the trick!Kronk is currently being cared for in a loving foster home, where he's getting all the TLC he deserves while he waits for his forever family. Hi my name is Sammy! I am a super handsome 3 year old American Bulldog/Boxer who would love a family to give me a nice bed or a couch to hang out on!I am fantastic on leash! I love going for daily walks, and I am a total hit when my foster mom takes me to Home Depot.I love everybody and everybody loves me! I am truly 65 pounds of love. I am house trained, and crate trained! I am dog selective but have made great friends with small calm dogs (I am a low-medium energy level dog). I would also love it if you threw a ball for me! I am a good passenger in the car too! I am such a snuggler. My ideal home would be a quieter environment with no other dogs or 1 other calm dog (like a little dog). A home where my family is home more often than not would be great too! I am a big fan of older kids (ages 8+) Which lucky family is ready for all of my love and affection?

Running, playing outside, and chasing ducks are some of my favorite activities, and when the day winds down, I’m happiest curled up close and enjoying cuddle time.I’m a friendly, playful, and loyal girl who thrives on attention. Chew toys are a big hit with me, and I love being part of whatever my people are doing. I came to the shelter because my previous owner worked long hours and felt it wasn’t fair for me to spend so much time kenneled—I was very loved, and this was a difficult but thoughtful decision.I do well with other dogs and enjoy having furry friends. I’ve been introduced to a cat and didn’t show any aggression, though I do have a strong instinct to chase, so a cat-aware home would be best.Like most Boxers, I’m active and sometimes forget my own size and strength. Story
I have had a hard journey. I was a very pregnant senior gal transferred from another shelter so that I could spend my pregnancy in a foster home. I was a high risk due to my age, and sadly my pregnancy took a bad turn as I started to loose my pups and became very sick myself. Thankfully I was brought to the ER just in time to save me from sepsis from a retained placenta. Because of my antibiotics, I was unable to feed my two surviving pups so my human foster mom took great care of them and raised them as her own. Just before being ready for adoption a growth popped up on my leg so back to the doctors I went. It was removed and biopsied and came back a low grade mast cell tumor. This is not the best news, but also not the worst, so now to keep me in the best shape, I am on joint support for arthritis and an antihistamine to help block more growths. I know I am a bit of a medical project, but I am loving and kind and am hopeful a family will fall in love with my gentle nature and say let's do this!I am currently living in a foster home, so if you are interested in adopting me please call and speak with our Office Staff - they can help get the process started!Requirements: Martingale Collar; Medical NeedsAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
