Story
****COMING SOON- He is still being vetted, he will be fixed before adoption**** Canine Clip: Isla's Journey watched my owners open the door and let me loose, they no longer wanted me. So they ended up surrendering me to Isla's Journey. I'm a very sweet boy, I am very goofy! I'm dog selective, so I need meet-n-greets with any possible fur siblings. I am potty trained!! Personality: Roscoe is a happy-go-lucky boy. He's determined to make you laugh!! He has lots of energy so he loves to play and go for walks. While he does well with children he gets nervous with younger kids so he needs to go to a home with older children (10yrs+). Dream Lifestyle: He would love a fenced in yard to get all my zoomies out! Roscoe would like someone active who can keep up with his puppy-like energy level. He would love daily walks and lots of playtime! Other Pets: Roscoe is dog selective so he would need to meet any other dogs in the home first. He can't be in a home with little dogs, only dogs his size or bigger if any. We aren't sure how he would do with cats.

Thurston is a 12 year old boxer-lab mix. He is very loving and always wants to say hello to everyone. He loves to nap on his chair, go on walks, and is very food motivated. He would do best in a home with older kids and adults.

Story
Hi there, I’m Gatsby! Some dogs just have that special spark—and I’ve been told I’ve got it. I’m two years old, weigh about 40 pounds, and am the perfect size for cuddles on the couch or adventures outside. I’m the kind of pup who happily makes friends with other dogs, leans in for snuggles, and wins people over with my gentle heart and soulful eyes.I do have something unique about me: I have a condition called megaesophagus. That might sound big and scary, but really it just means I eat sitting upright in my special Bailey Chair so gravity can do the work for me. After a few minutes of relaxing in my chair post-meal, I’m ready to get back to being the playful, affectionate guy I am.I don’t think of it as a limitation—it’s just part of my routine. And honestly, it’s a small trade for all the love, loyalty, and joy I’ll bring into your life.Right now, I’m living in a foster home where I’m loved and cared for while I wait for my forever family. If you think that could be you, please fill out an adoption application on our website and call the Front Office to learn more about how to make me a permanent part of your life.I promise, once you meet me, you’ll see what makes me so special. I’m ready when you are.Requirements: Martingale Collar; Megaesophagus (Eats in a special upright chair)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
Meet Lola – Your One-and-Only! 🐾After two years in the shelter system, this sweet girl is more than ready to find her forever home—and trust us, she’s worth the wait. Lola has had the chance to spend time in a foster home, and we’ve learned that in a calm, stable environment, she truly thrives.Lola is affectionate, loyal, and just the right amount of sassy. She adores pig ears, chew bones, and lounging in her favorite sunny spots. She’s not a fan of crates or being confined to small spaces, but she’s proven to be totally trustworthy when left to free-roam the house. Give her a cozy couch and a good chew, and she’s set for the afternoon. She can be a bit shy with new people—especially strangers in uniforms (maintenance workers, we’re looking at you)—but once she feels safe (a quick walk together helps her bond quickly!), she blossoms into a goofy, loving companion who wants to be wherever you are.Lola would do best as the only pet in the home—she’s not interested in sharing her people, thank you very much. But that just means more love, cuddles, and loyalty for you.If you’re looking for a one-on-one bond with a dog who will be your ride-or-die bestie, Lola’s your girl. 💛 Meet her and see what two years of waiting has built—pure, patient love just waiting to come home.Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 10+; ShyAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
