Meet Calypso — Certified Good Girl & Professional Cutie Pie 🐾 Hi everyone! I’m Calypso! I might seem a little unsure of myself in my kennel, but once I’m out and about, my true personality shines. I was found as a stray in Spokane and was pretty scared of the world at first. I’ve come a long way since then, and every day I grow more confident and brave. My foster mom is actually the wonderful human who found me on the street and cared so much that now I spend lots of time with her and her family. I do great with her 6-year-old kiddo and all the humans in the home. I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and I know “sit” and “down.” I can be a bit vocal in the shelter, but in a home I’m very quiet — honestly, I might be the best-behaved pup you could ask for! I have a very high prey drive and absolutely love to play and run. Because of this, I should not live with small dogs, cats, or other small animals. If it’s small and runs, I might chase it — I don’t mean any harm, I’m just a fast and strong little lady! I would do best as the only dog in the home, where I can soak up all the love and attention and not have to share my space. I’m currently working hard on my “out/drop-it” command during playtime, and I’m basically a rock star at it now. What I really want is a forever family and a place to call home where I can continue to blossom, play, and be loved. Interested in meeting me? Story
Big Mama Myrtle was sitting in the shelter, sad, dejected, and abandoned.  Look we get it times are hard, and when a dog has a lot going on medically it makes life tougher.  We just feel gut wrenched when we see this dog that someone loved at some point now alone and suffering. Springing Big Mama from SCRAPS was a no brainer.  We love a hot mess and she checked that box a few times.  While we have worked on getting her ears under control, her skin issues, and up to date with vaccinations our Big Mama Myrtle is learning to relax and enjoy life a little more.  This girl will need ongoing care for a bit, like most Bulldogs she has allergy sensitivities. We are proud to say she is dog neutral, she really just doesn’t care about others.  Myrtle doesn't care about cats, either.  My oh my, Myrtle is not a crate dog, but that’s ok. She is mature and ready to hang out on the couch or dog bed and has proven she is not destructive.
