Story
Move over Thor – meet his adorable brother! Meet Baldur! Baldur is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.) Baldur, his mama, and his eight siblings were abandoned on the streets of Hondo, TX and brought to a shelter where they were scheduled for euthanasia. We were able to tag them and transport them to Washington thanks to our partner Austin Pets Alive. These pups are already seasoned travelers having journeyed cross country to start new adventures and find forever homes in the PNW! Baldur is a puppy from our Norse Mythology litter. In myths, Baldur was a son of Odin and brother to Thor. He was a god known for his beauty, peaceful nature, and considered the wisest of the gods. Our Baldur is super cute, loves to chill with you, and um, has typical puppy smarts. Did we mention how cute he is? Those ears – adorable! Baldur is one of eight siblings, and he relishes the company of the other dogs and kids in his foster home. This guy is friendly, cuddly, and playful – he’s a little social butterfly! Baldur is thrilled to be the center of your attention. He will romp and play but what he really wants to do is snuggle with you on the couch. Baldur appreciates quality companionship (as well as body heat – it was a lot warmer in Texas!).  His ideal home? Baldur’s needs are simple - a family to love and cherish him, to give him affection, and to ensure he learns the skills that will make him a well-rounded and happy dog. As a very young puppy, Baldur has not started crate, house, or obedience training quite yet. He has met other dogs, cats, kids of all ages, and strangers and has done well with these new experiences. He spends his days cuddling and getting lots of playtime, love, and new adventures with his foster family.  Baldur is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his perfect home. Want to meet Baldur? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Minimum Adoption donation is $550 for dogs under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers puppies throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.  We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received. If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have hella good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member. Since the dogs that come up the Path of Hope are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate. ##1988599##

The son of Thor is ready to see you! Meet Magni! Magni is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.) Magni, his mama, and his eight siblings were abandoned on the streets of Hondo, TX and transported to Washington. These pups are already seasoned travelers having journeyed cross country to start new adventures and find forever homes in the PNW! Magni is a puppy from our Norse Mythology litter and is named for one of the sons of Thor. Magni means “strength”, and it suits him. He is an American Bulldog mix, a breed known for its endurance, agility, and strength. Magni already has the stocky, broad-shouldered look of the breed along with adorable flappy ears and funny markings that make him look like he has a black eye. But this guy is a lover, not a fighter. He loves to snuggle and give kisses, and this curious, playful pup has yet to meet a toy he didn’t like. He also loves wrestling with his sister, and he is respectful with the resident cat, so he’d be an ideal pup for a home with pets.  Sweet, cuddly, and loving, Magni will be a wonderful companion for a lucky someone! Magni is a young puppy, but he is learning new skills every day. He has begun crate training and is progressing well in his house training. He is learning his way around on a leash and will begin obedience training shortly. He has mastered getting people to fall in love with him – he is such a charmer! Magni’s ideal home? One with toys, snacks, and people willing to shower him with love and attention. A home full of play, exercise, and new adventures with people to ensure he learns the skills that will help him grow into a well-rounded and happy dog. If this sounds like you, we have the pup to complete your family. Want to meet Magni? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! From the halls of Valhalla to your home!  Meet Saga! Saga is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.) Saga, her mama, and her eight siblings were abandoned on the streets of Hondo, TX and brought to a shelter where they were scheduled for euthanasia. We were able to tag them and transport them to Washington. These pups are already seasoned travelers having journeyed cross country to start new adventures and find forever homes in the PNW! Saga is a puppy from our Norse Mythology litter and named for the goddess of wisdom, kindness, and prophecy. Our Saga shares some of these traits; she is quiet, curious, smart, loving, gentle, and highly affectionate (not sure about the prophecy part). She loves to play, and if the other pups are not interested, she will devise games of her own to amuse herself. Exploring outside with friends is a favorite activity, surpassed only by couch cuddles and belly rubs. Saga is serious about her snuggles, and spending time with her people tops her list of best things in the world. Saga loves kids over 5 (she has not met any younger ones yet), and being one of eight siblings, she does well with other dogs. Though a young puppy, Saga has already acquired skills. She spends hours at a time in her crate, quietly amusing herself with toys, and is progressing through potty training. Saga is mastering her basic obedience (sit, stay, down) with the help of treats, and she has begun leash training. This sweet, cuddly, silly puppy wants to please you, and she is eager to demonstrate her skills to earn your approval.  Saga’s ideal home? Story
Miko is truly an experience that fills your heart with love and compassion. From the moment he was rescued approximately at six months old, it was evident that he had endured a difficult start in life. He was discovered in a state of poor health, burdened by fleas and even had a wire wrapped around his neck. This unfortunate past has left Miko with a timid nature, as if the world had not always been kind to him. However, once you earn his trust, you are welcomed into a world of the biggest and sweetest personality imaginable. His ability to play with other dogs is a testament to his resilient spirit. Regularly attending daycare allowed him to socialize and form meaningful connections with his furry companions. However it is crucial to acknowledge that Miko's past experiences have left him easily scared by loud noises and sudden movements. As a result, he may not be best fit for households with young children who may inadvertently cause him distress.  Miko's gentle nature shines through, as he has never displayed any signs of aggression towards anyone. If we were to summarize Miko's essence in just three words, they would undoubtedly be loyal, gentle, and playful. He has proven himself to be a loyal companion, always by your side through thick and thin. His gentleness radiates from him, making him an absolute joy to be around. And his playful nature brings endless laughter and happiness to those fortunate enough to share their lives with him. In terms of his overall well-being, Miko is a picture of health. He is both crate and potty trained, a testament to his intelligence and adaptability. Additionally, he has been neutered and is up to date on all of his necessary shots.  The only minor obstacle he faces is mild allergies and dry skin, which are effectively managed through the use of soothing coconut oil. In conclusion, Miko is a remarkable companion who deserves all the love and care in the world. His journey from a troubled past to a bright future is a testament to his resilience and capacity for forgiveness. Opening your heart to Miko means inviting an unwavering loyalty, a gentle soul, and an endless source of joy into your life. He is a true gem, ready to embark on a new chapter of love and happiness with a forever family. We offer transport from Houston to the Pacific Northwest every two weeks.  And guess what? We've got some exciting news for our friends up in the Great White North! We've got a special stop in Bellingham, Washington just for you, our lovely Canadian residents to drive to. So, if you're interested in adopting the one and only Stella, head on over to our website at www.springbranchrescue.org. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this little ball of energy and laughter! If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance.  For more info visit www.springbranchrescue.org ##1968778##
